At SAP Sapphire 2024, held in Orlando, Florida, LG CNS introduced its latest innovation, the PerfecTwin ERP Edition. This advanced testing solution is specifically designed to assist companies in their migration from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, ensuring continuous system improvements.

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems are vital for integrating and managing a company’s core business processes, from finance and procurement to human resources and manufacturing. As companies transition from SAP ECC, an older ERP system, to the more advanced SAP S/4HANA, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the new system is paramount. This is where LG CNS’s PerfecTwin ERP Edition steps in.

PerfecTwin ERP Edition builds on the success of the original PerfecTwin, a solution that leverages real transaction data to detect and rectify system defects. The new edition is tailored specifically for SAP ERP environments, utilizing actual data from SAP ECC systems rather than sampled data. This approach significantly enhances the precision of defect identification and remediation, which is crucial for a smooth transition to SAP S/4HANA.

Enhancing System Quality with Real Transaction Data

The PerfecTwin ERP Edition stands out by automatically collecting millions of real transaction records and replicating them in the SAP S/4HANA environment. This massive data replication allows for comprehensive testing and verification, highlighting discrepancies and potential issues that might be overlooked by traditional methods that rely on smaller data samples.

By continuously comparing the outcomes between the old and new systems, PerfecTwin ERP Edition ensures that any defects are promptly identified and addressed. This thorough verification process not only facilitates a successful initial launch but also supports ongoing upgrades and maintenance of the SAP S/4HANA system.

According to Min Bae, Head of the Security & Solution Business division at LG CNS, the PerfecTwin ERP Edition provides unparalleled value by significantly enhancing transaction accuracy and system reliability for corporate clients across various industries. This solution reduces the time and effort required for manual defect detection, which can be both time-consuming and limited in scope, especially when repetitive testing is essential for ERP systems that serve as the backbone of corporate operations.

Global Expansion and Strategic Partnerships

In a strategic move to expand its global footprint, LG CNS is set to launch PerfecTwin ERP Edition in the U.S. market by the end of this month. This follows a series of collaborative efforts with SAP, including a memorandum of understanding signed at SAP’s headquarters in Walldorf, Germany. The partnership aims to develop next-generation ERP systems and has involved joint technical meetings, workshops, and proof-of-concept projects to fine-tune the solution.

In addition to PerfecTwin ERP Edition, LG CNS also showcased its SINGLEX platform at SAP Sapphire 2024. SINGLEX is a global SaaS (Software as a Service) integrated platform that consolidates essential business services such as procurement management, human capital management, marketing, sales, manufacturing, R&D, and quality control. By offering a unified platform, SINGLEX allows companies to customize their SaaS subscriptions according to their specific needs, paying only for the services they use.

The SINGLEX platform demonstrates LG CNS’s commitment to enhancing business efficiency through digital transformation. For instance, in procurement management, SINGLEX extends SAP Ariba’s capabilities with manufacturing-specific features, while in human capital management, it combines LG CNS’s expertise in AI and big data with SAP SuccessFactors to optimize employee experiences through AI-driven job and competency analysis and continuous feedback mechanisms.

The Future of ERP Migration from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA

As companies navigate the complex process of migrating from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, solutions like PerfecTwin ERP Edition are becoming increasingly crucial. By leveraging real transaction data, LG CNS’s latest offering provides a robust and reliable method for ensuring system quality and performance. This innovation not only supports initial system launches but also facilitates ongoing upgrades and maintenance, helping companies maintain the integrity and efficiency of their ERP systems over time.

The introduction of PerfecTwin ERP Edition and SINGLEX at SAP Sapphire 2024 underscores LG CNS’s dedication to leading the digital transformation landscape. With these advanced solutions, LG CNS aims to support global corporate clients in their quest for seamless and effective ERP system migrations, ensuring that businesses can continue to operate smoothly and efficiently in an ever-evolving digital world.

In the digital world, there are few partnerships as enduring and impactful as that between SAP, the global leader in enterprise software and services, and Infosys, a prominent figure in next-generation digital services and consulting. As they celebrate the impressive milestone of a 25-year alliance, the SAP-Infosys partnership stands as a testament to the power of collaboration in driving digital transformation and creating sustainable business value.

Established in 1972, SAP (Systems, Applications & Products in Data Processing) has consistently held its place as one of the world’s leading providers of enterprise software applications used to manage business operations and customer relations. Infosys, on the other hand, since its formation in 1981, has distinguished itself as a powerhouse in digital services and consulting. The two titans came together in a partnership 25 years ago and have since been developing innovative solutions using Infosys Cobalt and SAP’s extensive collection of cloud applications.

Infosys, armed with its decades of digital transformation expertise, specialist consulting, and an array of cloud solutions, has served as a perfect complement to SAP’s formidable software solutions. Together, they have managed to create revolutionary industry cloud solutions, such as personalized medicine, clinical trial supply management for Life Sciences, leads and proposal management for professional services, demand sensing for CPG, enhanced customer experience, and sustainable sales and operations planning. These initiatives have transformed businesses across various sectors, further solidifying the role of the SAP-Infosys partnership in the global corporate landscape.

A recent study by Infosys stresses the crucial role of cloud technology and artificial intelligence in realizing strategic business goals. To this end, Infosys, with its AI-first offering, Infosys Topaz, enables businesses to accelerate their SAP S/4HANA cloud-enabled transformations, leveraging the synergy of AI with SAP’s robust platform.

Visionary Leadership Driving the SAP-Infosys Partnership

Christian Klein, who serves as the CEO and is part of the Executive Board of SAP SE, echoed the sentiment that the partnership’s strength lies in their shared ambition to augment customer experiences and enable clients to hasten their digital transformation in the cloud.

The continued success of this partnership is also a testament to the visionary leadership of both Sap and Infosys. Salil Parekh, CEO & MD of Infosys, has consistently emphasized innovation as the guiding principle for the partnership, especially in an increasingly intricate and competitive business landscape. Parekh’s commitment to creating cutting-edge industry cloud solutions while future-proofing businesses for sustainable growth are sentiments deeply shared with SAP.

The impact of the SAP-Infosys collaboration is best demonstrated in the positive feedback from the clients they serve. Metsä Group’s CIO, Tapio Nuutinen, for instance, affirms how the partnership has assisted in modernizing and unifying their ERP landscape, delivering seamless transitions and harmonized business processes.

Roche’s Marc Béchet, Domain Lead ERP Platform & Services, also hailed the strategic role of SAP and Infosys in the execution of their ASPIRE program, which is aimed at innovating and driving digital excellence. Béchet recognized the role of their partnership in improving overall process efficiency and accelerating time-to-market.

Echoing these sentiments, Chris Chesebro, Wella Company’s Global Chief Digital Officer, expressed appreciation for the role of the SAP-Infosys collaboration in accelerating their digital transformation. He lauded the combined expertise of Infosys and SAP in improving operational efficiency and sparking innovation, delivering real business value for Wella.

The SAP-Infosys partnership has been fostering innovation and transformation in the digital world for the past 25 years. As they look forward to the future, the objective is clear: to continue empowering businesses with innovative solutions, accelerating digital transformation, and ushering in a future defined by sustainable growth and operational efficiency. For instance, the German tech giant’s Global Bharat program in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the NASSCOM Foundation, and the Pratham InfoTech Foundation strengthens the initiative by equipping Indian organisations with the latest digital technologies to help in the establishment of their respective businesses.

Committed to bringing forward more nation-building activities for ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’, SAP recently announced a partnership with Amul which will focus on joint community outreach. The program intends to transform the lives of 1.5 million Indians through the development of a skilled workforce, social entrepreneurship, digital inclusion, and closing the gap on gender equality.

SAP and Amul have collaborated for more than two decades now to improve Amul’s business processes and propel the company’s digital transformation — enabled by SAP’s digital core enterprise resource planning (ERP) and supply chain solutions. The latest community program unveiled by the two corporations demonstrates their long-standing partnership and commitment to the development of a sustainable world.

In a statement, RS Sodhi, Managing Director at Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation, Ltd. (Amul), said that he hopes the initiative will pave the way for nation-building and creating an Atmanirbhar India. In addition to fostering coding and 21st-century skills, the SAP corporate social responsibility (SAP CSR) program also focuses on women’s empowerment and entrepreneurship as well as the support of farmland-based livelihoods. According to the press release, the Pratham Infotech Foundation will also lead the joint community outreach.

Strengthening the SAP for India Vision

On the sidelines of the program launch, Sodhi explained more about the initiative which is aimed at creating an accessible and inclusive digital ecosystem for every Indian in the country. He shared:

“SAP India and Amul have been in partnership for the last 12 years. So they approached us saying that there is a gap in digital literacy in our villages, which is much lower than in the urban areas, and rural students feel that technology is exclusively for urban India. Secondly, even if they want to learn, they don’t have resources. They don’t have locally available teaching aids and teachers. They can’t go to the nearest city to learn, so the need was how to make it available in the village itself.”

“Therefore, Amul’s infrastructure was married with SAP’s technical expertise, which made this collaboration a reality,” he emphasised.

Meanwhile, SAP Indian Subcontinent President and MD Kulmeet Bawa believes that technology has the potential to serve as a catalyst in India’s transition to a more equitable and sustainable economy. Commenting on the recent collaboration with Amul, he added:

“Our work with Amul is an expansion of this vision and will provide citizens with the information and tools they need to succeed. As India continues to lead global action on sustainability, collaboration like ours will also provide the critical foundation for an inclusive and resilient future in which no one is left behind.”

Last year, SAP was also involved in all aspects of Code Unnati projects in the state of Karnataka, serving as the strategic mentor for all of the participants. The company equipped  15,000 students with 21st-century skills training as well as entrepreneurship development programs in various targeted districts.

Now joining the SAP Concur partner ecosystem, delaware Singapore provides spend management solutions in order to assist organisations in attaining their productivity objectives through high-quality automation and integration, employee experience, and spend visibility solutions in the local market.

In Singapore, delaware continues to be a recognised SAP partner with a strong background in SAP technologies, including SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation (SAP iRPA). The consulting firm prioritises its investment in SAP S/4HANA, the German tech giant’s future-ready enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, and is committed to helping organisations in their efforts to innovate using the platform. In addition, delaware is also authorised to market RISE with SAP, a Business Transformation as a Service (BTaaS) cloud offering.

With its own experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation, Delaware strives to streamline business processes, decrease complexity, and utilise technology to support clients in achieving their goals while also leveraging the potential of SAP Concur. The company’s integration with SAP Concur provides customers with a comprehensive overview of their total travel expenditure as well as trends in travel behaviour, enabling them to make better decisions regarding their travel programs and maintain greater control over them.

Joining the SAP Concur Partnership Programme

This month, delaware Singapore’s expertise will be combined with industry-leading SAP Concur Travel and Expense solutions after becoming a part of the SAP Concur partner ecosystem. The cooperation aims to help companies automate their enterprise travel and expense claims, further accelerating their digital transformation journeys. In a press release statement, Christophe Derdeyn, Partner at delaware Singapore, shared:

“We are excited about our SAP Concur partnership. Being part of the SAP Concur ecosystem allows us to help solve spend management challenges for our customers, especially with travel picking up again. This agreement will strengthen our long-standing and successful partnership with SAP.”

“With the SAP Concur solutions, it will help us provide our customers with state-of-the-art, integrated spend management solutions. We already have multiple successful implementations with our customers in the other delaware entities that have demonstrated the power of the SAP Concur solutions,” he added.

Implementing Concur Expense Solutions for TOMRA Food

Moreover, delaware recently implemented SAP Concur Expense solutions for TOMRA Food, a Belgium manufacturer of sensor-based sorting equipment and solutions for the food sector. According to the company, the implementation resulted in a significant improvement in the previously manual-intensive and cumbersome expense management processes. Additionally, the rate of value-added tax (VAT) compliance increased four-fold.

Sharing more about the project, Wim Vermeire, Senior Manager at delaware, explained:

“More than implementing a tool, this project is about defining a travel expense policy: defining an acceptable cost, what expenses can be reimbursed, how they should be charged, etc. TOMRA Food had done a great job in this, which made it straightforward for us to configure SAP Concur.”

Japanese multinational technology company NEC Corporation has strengthened its strategic alliance with German enterprise software giant SAP in digital transformation initiatives including the co-innovation of new business opportunities and adoption of SAP solutions — SAP S/4HANA and RISE with SAP.

In 2020, NEC Corporation embarked on a project to modernise its indirect materials procurement by implementing the full suite of SAP Ariba solutions as part of its journey to becoming an intelligent enterprise with SAP. The company hoped to cut spending, streamline operations, and improve compliance in its procurement processes by leveraging a cloud-based system. It was the Kanagawa-based NEC Management Partners Co. Ltd. that was the first to deploy the solutions, followed by the rest of the Group’s subsidiaries in Japan and throughout the world.

Last year, NEC opened its Transformation Office to expedite its corporate transformation in terms of management, business operations, and human resources (HR) while also helping the company foster growth and meet the objectives outlined in its Mid-Term Management Plan 2025. As part of the project, the Tokyo-headquartered corporation intends to develop a knowledge base about the construction and reform of digital infrastructure. According to NEC, it also plans to build a reference model available to customers in order to assist them in addressing issues regarding transformation.

Fast forward to 2022, the company once again teamed up with the German tech giant and reinforced its cooperation aimed at initiating innovation, generating business opportunities, and adopting the latest SAP solutions. Thrilled about the new strategic collaboration with SAP, NEC Corporation President and Chief Executive Officer Takayuki Morita said in a press release:

“With this new alliance, we will further strengthen our collaborative relationship. SAP will help NEC’s corporate transformation by providing their best practices from their own digital transformation. They will also provide their latest solutions.”

Partnering with SAP in Digital Transformation Programs

Morita noted that the NEC Group — particularly its subsidiary ABeam Consulting Ltd. —- has the largest number of SAP consultants in Japan, in addition to having end-to-end ICT services and a long history of implementing SAP solutions. Under the agreement, the company will continue to utilise SAP S/4HANA as its next-generation mission-critical platform to maintain end-to-end processes, maximise standard functions, and embrace Business Process Intelligence (BPI) to increase efficiency.

Moreover, NEC intends to use the Business Transformation as a Service (BTaaS) offering RISE with SAP across its group companies globally to help deliver the integrated solutions required for transforming the business. Morita further shared:

“These solutions create the “social value” that is shared by both NEC and SAP’s corporate philosophies. We aim to contribute to solving the issues faced by our customers and by society. I look forward to a successful partnership and working together with the SAP team.”

The company also aims to leverage SAP technologies to generate innovations based on a common corporate philosophy of creating social value. When it comes to biometrics technology and infrastructure, NEC said that it will rely on the expertise of both companies in areas such as 5G, supply chain management, and sustainability.

Meanwhile, SAP CEO and Member of the Executive Board Christian Klein believes the cloud and innovative technologies are the foundation of digital transformation in every industry. He said that customers turn to SAP as they are modernising their IT landscape and transforming their businesses. Looking forward to the company’s strategic collaboration with NEC, Klein added:

“With NEC, one of our most trusted partners, we support them on this journey and even accelerate their transformations. Using RISE with SAP, NEC and SAP will help many companies in Japan to make those transformations a success.”

“SAP will also support NEC’s corporate transformation based on SAP’s knowledge of our own transformation. With this partnership, we take both our collaboration and our customers’ transformations in Japan to the next level,” he concluded.
