The IBM Data Readiness Assessment with Syniti Knowledge Platform is the latest offering from tech companies IBM and Syniti to help customers in migrating to SAP S/4HANA with a clean data foundation.
In October 2021, SAP and IBM collaborated for the launch of BREAKTHROUGH with IBM — IBM’s complementary solution to the German tech giant’s Business Transformation as a Service (BTaaS) milestone offering — which is a package of existing consulting services intended to help enterprises advance their journeys to SAP S/4HANA Cloud, an intelligent enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. The BREAKTHROUGH with IBM for RISE with SAP offering includes key components that are meant to help expedite the migration to SAP S/4HANA. These features include an improved data quality evaluation, translation, process optimization, and code or infrastructure upgrade.
This month, data management software and services company Syniti partnered with IBM in launching a new solution called IBM Data Readiness Assessment with Syniti Knowledge Platform which contributes to the common objective of speeding digital transformation and fostering continuous innovation by laying a foundation of clean and high-quality data. The two companies believe that the key to a successful transformation project is having a solid understanding of the quality status of data as well as its level of completion before moving to SAP S/4HANA.
According to them, customers have the ability to measure the required services and amount of time in order to maximize performance and potentially cut costs on required cloud infrastructure. Allan Coulter, Global Chief Technology Officer for SAP Services at IBM, explained that to ensure a smooth transition to SAP S/4HANA, companies must have full confidence that they are working with data of the highest possible quality. He added:
“Through our work with Syniti we can bring to our clients a solution that enables them to better prepare for adopting SAP S/4HANA with modernized code, process and data capabilities that drive the foundation for continuous innovation.”
Simplifying the Steps to Migrating to SAP S/4HANA
The Syniti Knowledge Platform is a centralized and unified solution that provides assistance for the data management strategy of an organization, including the management of compliance and data optimization, as well as the transition to SAP S/4HANA. Last year, Syniti was placed as a Visionary in the 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Quality Solutions and was designated in the 2021 Master Data Management and 2020 Metadata Management reports — made possible by the firm’s Syniti Knowledge Platform which provides services to a strong Global 2000 client base and major alliance partners.
Noting that having a clean core necessitates having clean data, Rex Ahlstrom, Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President of Growth and Innovation at Syniti, mentioned that the company successfully completed the migration of thousands of businesses to SAP systems over the course of the last decade. Commenting on Syniti’s partnership with IBM, he stated:
“Working with IBM, we’ll be able to help more customers prepare for their migration to SAP S/4HANA easily to help ensure data integrity – setting them up for success with future digital transformation efforts.”
Customers can have the following benefits when implementing the IBM Data Readiness Assessment with Syniti Knowledge Platform:
- A platform that helps speed up initiatives, including ones that are currently in progress, and that also reduces the risk associated with several projects.
- A solution that covers every aspect of the process from beginning to end and that utilizes all of the rules provided by the digital platform in order to speed up and automate the migration.
- Pre-built data quality analyses and dashboards accessible to help identify efficiency gains, cashflow, and profit and loss (P&L) improvements.
Thrilled to be expanding Syniti’s collaboration with IBM, Kevin Campbell, Chief Executive Officer at Syniti, said that they are eager to strengthen their work with IBM, particularly in regard to the mission-critical imperative of beginning with reliable, high-quality data. He added:
“Leveraging the innovation and transformation expertise of IBM with the proven capabilities of the Syniti Knowledge Platform will deliver a win-win to our joint customers looking to become intelligent enterprises.”
