Aside from leveraging various SAP software solutions to ramp up Ooredoo’s enterprise-wide digital transformation, the Qatari multinational company will also be integrating the Icertis contract management software with SAP Ariba and SAP S/4HANA for greater contract intelligence.

Telecommunications company Ooredoo Group has earlier announced that it will be embarking on a digital enterprise transformation in collaboration with German software giant SAP centred on consolidating all of its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions across its global operations. The multinational company is one of the leading telcos in the Middle East, North Africa, and Southeast Asia with expertise in mobile, fixed, broadband internet, and corporate managed services.

Under the SAP partnership, Ooredoo aims to achieve an infrastructure that would support integrated, end-to-end processes and systems to deliver enhanced experiences to both its internal and external customers. The company will be leveraging the RISE suite of applications including SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business Technology Platform as well as procurement and supply chain software SAP Ariba and human capital management solution SAP SuccessFactors to support the enterprise-wide business transformation.

“We are proud to be a key enabler in Ooredoo’s digital transformation journey. Our holistic and customer-centric approach will help Ooredoo simplify and optimise its landscape, enabling the company to achieve its goals and respond to future opportunities with even greater agility and speed,” SAP CEO Christian Klein commented in March.

Three months after the announcement of a strategic partnership with SAP, Ooredo continues to reinforce its enterprise transformation strategy, this time, in alliance with contract intelligence company Icertis

Icertis Contract Management to Deliver Greater Insights

Focused on streamlining contracts and processes across operations in Qatar, Algeria, Kuwait, Maldives, Myanmar, Palestine, and Tunisia, Ooredoo will be utilising Icertis Contract Intelligence (ICI), an AI-powered, analyst-validated contract management platform that encompasses end-to-end lifecycle of contract management capabilities– from intelligent contract setup to authoring, approvals, negotiations, and other contract operations-related tasks. Apart from delivering intelligent contract management to help the business run better, the enterprise-wide solution drives compliance through monitoring and smart rules.

Icertis Chief Revenue Officer Anand Veerkar emphasised the significant impact of contract management on overall business operations and monitoring cash flow. Sharing how Ooredoo can benefit from the Icertis platform, he said:

“Icertis transforms these powerful documents into structured, connected, and on-demand data to deliver intelligent contract authoring, automation, and insights. With Icertis Contract Intelligence, Ooredoo and other market-leading innovators can ensure the intent of every contract is correctly memorialized and fully realized across the enterprise, driving competitive advantage and growth.”

The transformation partnership involves integrating the Icertis Contract Intelligence CLM (contract lifecycle management) platform with cloud-based solutions SAP Ariba and SAP S/4HANA for data-driven business insights. In addition, Ooredoo will also leverage the ICI NegotiateAI app to provide the company with AI-powered insights to optimise contractual negotiations and reduce risk.

“A key pillar of Ooredoo’s corporate strategy is to evolve today’s core business and build a smart telco, thereby further digitizing our operations and accelerating growth. To achieve this, we are partnering with world-leading providers to help us consolidate business applications on a common platform across our operating companies around the world,” explained Christian Friedrich Linhart, Group Chief Procurement Officer, Ooredoo Group. “We are very happy to have selected Icertis for its telecommunications industry expertise, AI capabilities, and extensive SAP partnership and integrations, which offer us a single-team approach to enterprise-wide contract intelligence.”
