The SAP Certification Exam is offered at no cost to students in the Asia Pacific and Japan region who are aspiring to be SAP-certified citizen developers.
German tech behemoth SAP has opened its training door at zero cost to students in the Asia Pacific and Japan as part of the company’s commitment to upskill 1 million learners in the region by 2025. 1,000 SAP certification vouchers will be given to the first eligible applicants until the 30th of November 2022. The program offers an opportunity for students to jumpstart their careers in the tech world, immersing in hot topics including low-code/ no-code applications and business process automation.
Paul Marriott, President of SAP Asia Pacific and Japan stated:
“I am absolutely convinced the most important part of any career is learning something new every day. Being certified empowers people to use new trends and technologies for better outcomes for customers and colleagues, but also to boost their own professional journeys.”

Training Now, SAP Certification Exam Later
Aside from learning about ERP in-depth, part of the program is to introduce to qualified students in APJ the basic concepts of low-code/no-code software development, which includes building applications and business process automation without writing any code by using the SAP Build toolset. Though application for free vouchers is limited until November, learners can continue to sit for certification exams until 31st of December 2022.
Under the “Utilize Low-Code/No-Code Applications and Automations for Citizen Developers” student zone program, participants will get a chance to hone a new set of skills in bite-sized lessons in preparation for the SAP certification exam for citizen developers.
The six-unit-program that runs between one and a half to 2 and a half hours per session covers the following :
Unit 1- Becoming a Citizen Developer with SAP Learning
Unit 2- Developing a Process with SAP Build Process Automation
Unit 3- Composing a No-Code Mobile App With SAP Build
Unit 4- Developing a No-Code Extension with SAP Build Apps
Unit 5- Creating a Business Site with SAP Build Work Zone
Unit 6- Continuing Your SAP Citizen Developer Learning Journey
Having passed the “SAP Certified Citizen Developer Associate – Low-code/No-code Applications and Automations” certification exam provides students the leverage they need to be part of the SAP ecosystem. This particular SAP certification demonstrates that the bearer has the fundamental and core knowledge required of the low-code/no-code Application and Automations profile and has the skill to build straightforward applications and automations as a member of a project team in a mentored role.

He also commended SAP’s Chief Technology Officer and Executive Board Member Juergen Mueller’s announcement at SAPTechEd of the software enterprise giant’s pledge to empower women and underrepresented individuals with digital skills and the company’s latest partnership with Coursera to help upskill the workforce. This initiative is part of SAP’s ambitious goal to upskill 2 million people worldwide by 2025.
