TASK collaborates with SAP Education to empower future digitalists

Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK), an Indian non-profit IT learning organisation, has signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate with SAP India Education to improve IT education among local youth, enabling them to qualify for exciting and rewarding careers in India’s fast-growing digital economy.

The SAP Student Academy has been successful in providing affordable SAP training to more than 15,000 students across more than 200 institutes in India. Under terms of the MOU, SAP Education next plans to establish Student Academy centres to facilitate e-learning as the authorised education partner at various college campuses associated with TASK.

Created by the Ministry of IT, Telangana to develop synergies among government, industry and academia and to offer high-quality human resources and services to industry, TASK’s mission is to produce readily employable graduates by improving their IT skills to meet the growing needs of industry.

“The new initiatives by TASK will boost the dynamic and evolving IT industry and help increase the job prospects of talented, deserving youngsters in Telangana. This will give an overall impetus to the industry at large,” said Shri KT Rama Rao, Minister for IT, Telangana.

“With TASK, we aim to empower youth with technological skills required to give them a competitive edge for better career opportunities across the globe,” said David Osborne, global head, education, SAP.

“TASK has been collaborating with industry leaders to provide skill based training to the students and make them industry ready,” said Sujiv Nair, CEO, TASK.

TASK provides numerous other programs designed to enhance IT knowledge, skills and experience including faculty development programs, government department training programs, and corporate programs.
