Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited, a global chemical company based in Thailand, is implementing SAP Taulia to optimize its working capital and improve supply chain resilience.

SAP Taulia, a key solution within SAP’s ecosystem, offers working capital management services designed to enhance cash flow and strengthen supply chains. SAP acquired Taulia in 2022, further integrating its platform into SAP’s broader suite of solutions. Through Taulia, businesses like Indorama Ventures aim to drive sustainability, operational efficiency, and cash flow improvement. This move is crucial as companies navigate an increasingly volatile global supply chain landscape, where resilience and liquidity are essential for growth.

Indorama Ventures, one of the largest petrochemical producers globally, operates in over 140 manufacturing sites across five continents. The company has been actively pursuing a digital transformation strategy under its IVL 2.0 and Procurement 4.0 initiatives. A central focus of these programs is improving free cash flow, which is now being addressed through Taulia’s early payment program.

Indorama’s partnership with Taulia reflects its commitment to enhancing the liquidity of its supply chain, particularly benefiting suppliers through early payment options at competitive rates. This initiative aligns with the company’s goal to improve working capital and support business growth. By leveraging Taulia, Indorama Ventures is not only optimizing its internal processes but also supporting its global suppliers, many of whom are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Asia.

The implementation of Taulia is expected to significantly reduce payment cycle times for Indorama Ventures’ suppliers. In regions such as Asia, where payments often take 60 to 90 days, this solution is vital for improving supplier financial health, particularly for MSMEs. By offering early payments, Indorama Ventures will strengthen its relationships with these suppliers, ensuring they have quicker access to the capital needed to sustain and grow their businesses.

Taulia’s multi funder model plays an important role in this strategy. Through access to a network of financial institutions, Indorama Ventures can mitigate risks by diversifying funding sources. Suppliers, in turn, benefit from consistent liquidity for outstanding invoices. This program not only addresses immediate financial needs but also supports long-term supplier stability, enhancing overall supply chain resilience.

Kulwipa Piyawattanametha, Managing Director of SAP Indochina, recognizes the broader impact of Indorama Ventures’ decision to implement SAP Taulia. The accelerated payment cycles will contribute to the growth and stability of local suppliers, fostering a healthier supply chain within Thailand and aligning with national economic development efforts. By supporting the financial health of these businesses, SAP and Taulia intend to build a more robust foundation for the local economy.

Indorama Ventures’ Digital Transformation with SAP Taulia

Indorama Ventures’ partnership with SAP Taulia is part of the company’s larger digital transformation journey, which began in 2020 with the implementation of SAP S/4HANA. As the company continues to modernize its operations, it is incorporating digital and AI-driven solutions to streamline processes across its global business. This approach impacts vital operational areas such as procurement, sales, supply chain management, and finance, helping the company achieve greater efficiency and competitiveness.

Sanjay Ahuja, Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer at Indorama Ventures, highlights the decision to select Taulia as a strategic move aimed at enhancing both IT and financial operations. By leveraging SAP Taulia’s integration with the company’s existing SAP infrastructure, Indorama Ventures intends to achieve greater efficiency in cash flow management. This approach is critical to fostering stronger supplier relationships, particularly as faster payments become a vital component for supplier growth and stability.

For SAP Taulia, the partnership with Indorama Ventures also represents a significant milestone in its expansion across Asia. The company’s commitment to providing liquidity solutions for businesses of all sizes is a key aspect of its strategy. Rene Ho, Chief Financial Officer at Taulia, underscores the importance of supply chain resilience in achieving Indorama Ventures’ free cash flow goals under the IVL 2.0 program. Taulia intends to support this transformation by enabling suppliers to access liquidity through its early payment program.

Kyungdong Navien (KD Navien), a leading company in the heating and cooling industry, has recently implemented SAP’s strategic purchasing cloud solution to streamline its procurement processes and support its global expansion plans.

SAP Korea, led by CEO Eunyoung Shin, played a crucial role in the successful implementation of the SAP Ariba Source-to-Contract Suite and SAP Business Network, enabling KD Navien to achieve digital transformation across its entire purchasing business. According to Eunyoung Shin, KD Navien’s decision to adopt SAP solutions was driven by several key factors. (InsideSAP Asia often references articles from websites in other languages to bring you as much information as possible.)

Firstly, the gradual module scalability offered by SAP’s solutions aligns perfectly with KD Navien’s plans to expand its global business. As the company grows and enters new markets, the SAP Ariba Source-to-Contract Suite can be scaled up to accommodate the increasing complexity and volume of procurement activities.

Secondly, the SAP Business Network, which is the world’s largest B2B network, provides KD Navien with access to a vast global supply chain. This network spans 190 countries and handles over $5.3 trillion in annual commerce, enabling KD Navien to connect with suppliers worldwide and streamline its procurement processes.

Lastly, SAP’s solutions offer continuous upgrades and a user-friendly experience, ensuring that KD Navien can stay up-to-date with the latest procurement technologies and best practices. Additionally, as KD Navien plans to implement SAP S/4HANA in the future, the seamless integration and connectivity between SAP Ariba Source-to-Contract Suite, SAP Business Network, and SAP S/4HANA will provide a cohesive and efficient procurement ecosystem.

Kyungdong Navien Implements SAP Ariba Source-to-Contract Suite

KD Navien collaborated with Zen Consulting, a consulting company specializing in cloud purchasing solutions, to implement the SAP Ariba Source-to-Contract Suite. This suite provides comprehensive supplier lifecycle and performance management functions, enabling KD Navien to access and manage various supplier information within a single system. This centralized approach to supplier management facilitates strategic purchasing decisions and enhances overall procurement efficiency.

The SAP Ariba Source-to-Contract Suite also supports the creation of sourcing documents (RFx) in various formats, allowing Kyungdong Navien to request information, quotations, and prices for products and services from suppliers. This streamlined process increases the transparency of the quotation work and improves work efficiency, ultimately leading to better procurement outcomes.

Leveraging SAP Business Network for Advanced Strategic Purchasing

By integrating the SAP Business Network with the SAP Ariba Source-to-Contract Suite, KD Navien has unlocked advanced strategic purchasing capabilities. The SAP Business Network, being the world’s largest B2B network, connects KD Navien with a vast pool of suppliers across the globe. This access to a diverse range of suppliers enables KD Navien to identify the best sourcing opportunities and optimize its procurement strategies.

To further enhance the efficiency of the procurement process, KD Navien has organized the standard processes of its four corporations into predefined templates within the SAP Business Network. This templated approach allows for quick and easy quotation work, reducing the time and effort required to obtain quotes from suppliers.

Moreover, the digital strategic purchasing process facilitated by the SAP Business Network significantly improves contract information management. By unifying the process and ensuring compliance, KD Navien can strengthen its contract cycle management capabilities and gain greater visibility into procurement data. This enhanced visibility enables better decision-making and risk mitigation throughout the procurement lifecycle.

With SAP’s ongoing innovations, such as the integration of natural language generation AI co-pilot solution Joule into SAP Ariba, and strategic collaborations with organizations like Hana Bank and LG CNS, the future of procurement looks promising. As Kyungdong Navien continues to leverage SAP’s solutions to drive its global expansion and maintain its competitive edge, it sets an example for other companies seeking to transform their procurement processes and thrive in the global marketplace.

SAP in Asia Pacific Japan is leading the digital transformation wave, setting a new benchmark in cloud and AI innovations across the region.

The global leader in enterprise software has marked a year of substantial cloud momentum, as evidenced by its Q4 and full year 2023 results announced on January 24. The Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region has emerged as a focal point for SAP’s growth, with numerous enterprises across diverse industries choosing SAP for their cloud transformations. This surge in demand is not only a testament to SAP’s robust cloud offerings but also highlights the region’s growing embrace of digital solutions.

A Transformative Era with the Rise of Cloud and AI

The fourth quarter of 2023 saw SAP’s cloud revenue in APJ soar by 28% to €499 million, indicating a robust and growing appetite for cloud-based solutions in the region. This growth is attributed to the increasing recognition among APJ businesses of the need for agility and innovation in today’s fast-paced digital landscape. SAP’s cloud solutions are enabling companies to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and foster innovation.

Under the leadership of Paul Marriott, President of SAP APJ, the company is not just focusing on cloud transformations but is also pioneering in areas like artificial intelligence and sustainability. These technologies are becoming crucial for businesses looking to stay competitive and responsible in the modern economy. SAP’s commitment to integrating AI into its offerings allows businesses to leverage data-driven insights, while its sustainability solutions help companies reduce their environmental impact.

The Strategy of SAP in Asia Pacific Japan

SAP’s strategy in APJ, as guided by Marriott, revolves around a customer-centric approach. This approach is evident in the diverse array of businesses that have recently partnered with SAP. For instance, Airservices Australia, responsible for a significant portion of the world’s airspace, has transitioned to SAP S/4HANA in the cloud. Similarly, Christchurch City Council has embraced RISE with SAP for a private cloud solution, demonstrating the flexibility of SAP’s offerings in meeting varied customer needs.

In Japan, leading firms like NEC Corporation and Daikin Industries have chosen RISE with SAP, signaling a shift towards more integrated and efficient cloud-based systems. This trend is also consistent across the APJ region, with companies like Matsumoto Precision Co. Ltd. adopting SAP’s solutions for enhancing their environmental sustainability practices.

Transforming Industries Across APJ

The implementation of SAP’s solutions has had a transformative impact on various industries across APJ. In Indonesia, PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk, a major chemical and infrastructure company, is leveraging SAP to support its growth and improve decision-making processes. Coles Group in Australia has also embraced SAP for its business transformation. These examples further demonstrate SAP’s ability to cater to diverse industry needs, from retail to manufacturing and beyond.

SAP’s suite of solutions, including SAP Signavio and SAP Datasphere, has been instrumental in enhancing process and data management for companies in the region. For instance, AusNet and Foodstuffs North Island have also integrated these solutions to streamline their operations and lay a foundation for future growth.

The integration of AI into SAP’s cloud offerings is enabling businesses in APJ to gain a competitive edge. AI-driven analytics and insights are empowering companies to make more informed decisions, optimize operations, and innovate in their respective fields.

In recent years, the automobile industry has experienced rapid transformation, largely fueled by innovations in digital technology. Leading the pack in embracing these changes is Shinhwa Auto USA Corp., which has exhibited a steadfast commitment to its North American expansion by utilizing SAP solutions, including GROW with SAP, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP Digital Manufacturing.

The South Korean automotive behemoth, known for its prowess in producing high-quality automotive parts, embarked on a vigorous expansion journey. Their vision? To not only increase production but to also integrate state-of-the-art digital tools that ensure efficiency in all operations.

Furthermore, two major events signaled Shinhwa’s intentions to cement its footing in the North American market. The first was the establishment of a whopping US$42 million factory in Auburn Technology Park West, Alabama, meant to augment the production of aluminum auto parts. This was closely followed by a $70 million expansion, introducing advanced aluminum die casting and post-processing equipment.

Fast forward to today, Shinhwa is on the brink of unveiling a colossal $192 million manufacturing facility in Auburn, a strategic move to cater to the surging demand for electric vehicle production.

However, impressive infrastructure alone wasn’t enough. The company also recognized that having the right technology infrastructure was just as vital. Shinhwa’s IT systems, crucial for streamlining back-office processes, required a significant overhaul. Moreover, there was an urgent need for a system that would seamlessly integrate enterprise resource planning (ERP), manufacturing execution systems (MES), and accounting software.

SAP Digital Manufacturing: The Game Changer

Shinhwa identified this gap and found its solution in SAP Digital Manufacturing. With a vast majority of major automotive companies relying on SAP, Shinhwa’s leadership team saw the potential in GROW with SAP, tailored for easy implementations in the public cloud. This marked the beginning of Shinhwa’s tech revolution.

Transitioning to SAP also means more than just updating their IT infrastructure. It’s about automating all manufacturing processes and collecting integrated data from diverse domains – from the shop floor to finance, from supply chains to customer interactions. The overarching goal? To evolve as the preferred supplier for leading global vehicle manufacturers.

Steven Lee, IT senior manager at Shinhwa, further emphasizes the company’s vision to redefine industry benchmarks for IT systems. SAP Digital Manufacturing, an MES system, stands out for its focus on sustainable, risk-resilient manufacturing operations, encompassing a resource-efficient Industry 4.0 strategy.

Charting the Future: Ambition Meets Execution

Looking ahead, Shinhwa’s roadmap is crystal clear. Beyond the present manufacturing plant and two upcoming ones scheduled for completion within the year, they are gearing up to establish seven more facilities. This expansion is in anticipation of the escalating demand from U.S. automotive clients over the coming decade.

SAP S/4HANA, coupled with SAP Digital Manufacturing, has provided Shinhwa with a clear glimpse into the future of possibilities. Through this collaboration, the company is deepening its American affiliations, preparing for the dynamic global shifts on the horizon.

Lee further points out Shinhwa’s significant contributions to the Auburn community, both in terms of financial investments and job creation. Their collaboration with SAP reiterates their unwavering dedication to setting new global standards.

With the scheduled go-live date looming on January 1, 2024, Shinhwa’s union with SAP epitomizes the harmonious fusion of manufacturing brilliance with digital mastery. It’s a testament to their commitment to innovation, growth, and excellence.

Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd leaps into its digital transformation with SAP by integrating SAP S/4HANA into its operations. Collaborating with PwC Consulting LLC and SAP Japan Co. Ltd, Yamaha commits to data-driven management, global operational standardization, and embracing the benefits of advanced ERP systems.

In January 2023, Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd made a significant move towards its digital transformation strategy. Collaborating with PwC Consulting LLC and SAP Japan Co. Ltd, the company integrated SAP S/4HANA—a globally acclaimed ERP solution—into its operations. This milestone was achieved by deploying the solution across three of Yamaha’s domestic entities, including its headquarters. (InsideSAP Asia often references articles from websites in other languages to bring you as much information as possible.)

Furthermore, Yamaha’s decision to adopt SAP S/4HANA reflects the company’s dedication to its digital transformation initiative with SAP. Yamaha has been systematically embedding this sophisticated ERP platform into its management operations since 2019. This integration has also played a pivotal role in their drive towards data-driven management and global operational standardization.

Laying the Foundation for its Digital Transformation with SAP

The integration of SAP S/4HANA has been a central part of Yamaha’s digital transformation strategy. This powerful ERP solution offers a suite of tools that optimize and streamline operations across multiple domains. By leveraging SAP S/4HANA, Yamaha has further equipped itself with the capabilities to process large volumes of data, derive insights, and make more informed, strategic decisions.

Moreover, Yamaha’s digital transformation strategy hinged on the innovative ‘Fit to Standard’ method during the SAP S/4HANA roll-out. This approach ensures that operations are aligned with global standard functions, reducing the need for additional features. This method has proven instrumental in facilitating a smooth transition from Yamaha’s legacy systems to more modern, stable, and efficient operational structures.

PwC Consulting: A Strategic Ally in Yamaha’s Journey

As Yamaha embarked on its Digital Transformation with SAP, PwC Consulting’s vast experience in global ERP implementations was crucial. PwC developed a global template that covered Yamaha’s headquarters and enabled the seamless introduction of SAP S/4HANA across three Yamaha entities domestically.

PwC’s global template was instrumental in supporting over 140 bases across four regions—Japan, North America, Europe, and Asia—in five business areas, namely sales, logistics, purchasing, production, and accounting. This template offers a standardized operational and system framework that consolidates and visualizes management information, enabling efficient and strategic decision-making.

In 2022, PwC Consulting LLC and SAP Japan also collaborated to advance customer data solutions in response to changing personal data regulations and the global business environment. Their co-innovation partnership focused on providing consulting services and solutions to Japanese companies and local governments. It also leveraged the companies’ combined expertise in SAP’s Customer Data solutions for customer ID and access management and PwC’s consulting services on data utilization, customer experience, and personal data protection.

The Road Ahead: Yamaha’s Future Ambitions

Following the successful implementation of SAP S/4HANA, Yamaha Motor is looking to the future. The company further plans to delve deeper into digital marketing, develop connected products, and make a strategic shift towards a customer-centric business model. Additionally, Yamaha is also focusing on co-creation with society and customers and intends to refine its R&D system with a focus on digital technology. These strategic initiatives encapsulate Yamaha’s long-term vision for 2030— “ART for Human Possibilities – People can be happier.”

The first phase of Fujitsu’s move to a single SAP ERP – the SAP S/4HANA hosted in Microsoft Azure– will be implemented in its headquarters within fiscal 2024.

Fujitsu, a longstanding SAP partner, is deepening its alliance with the German software company under a five-year plan to move all its ERP systems on SAP S4/HANA. The project dubbed OneERP+ is designed to implement a standardized ERP across its global operations and position Fujitsu as a digital transformation company– in a repositioning costing around $760 million.

The multi-year DX project was the brainchild of Fujitsu CEO Takahito Tokita and is led by EVP and chief data and process officer Shunsuke Baba according to The Register. The multinational technology company, which currently has about 124,200 employees, is expected to take in an additional 1,500 employees during the peak of the project implementation.

According to Baba, the OneERP+ program was launched in the second half of 2020 with the objective of building “a foundation to support the purpose-driven and data-driven management”. Fujitsu currently runs over 4,000 systems for internal business and multiple instances of SAP-based systems along with those developed in-house for ERP. Sharing about the hurdles of the strategic shift, he added:

“There are many different business processes and systems for each business and region. One of our key challenges is how to thoroughly standardize all business process data and simplify it as a basic system.”

Moving to One SAP ERP

The mammoth undertaking aims to move all of Fujitsu’s ERP systems to a single SAP S/4HANA platform, hosted in Microsoft Azure and streamline various business processes throughout its global operations. Furthermore, SaaS front-end applications are pegged to run in Azure along with other instances hosted by AWS.

“Our goal with the initiative is to organize and integrate them all at once to standardize and streamline operations in a holistic manner,” Baba added.

The ERP integration project includes managing multiple key business processes such as sales, accounting, procurement, and project management data, among many others. As part of the five-year plan, Fujitsu has been leveraging SAP Concur since fiscal 2022.

“This is a very challenging project, and although it is actually promoted with the inclusion of add-on development, it is not merely an ERP introduction project but is also promoted as a large-scale reform project at the management level on the premise of a large-scale transformation of business processes,” explained Baba. “The organization consists of a team that designs business transformation from a business perspective and a team that implements it as an IT system.”

He highlighted that Fujitsu aims to illustrate to its customers a successful digital transformation and encourage them to embark on their own DX journey. Baba said that the company has the mission to showcase reference models of practical knowledge based on Fujitsu’s own experience and by being the ‘first penguin’ to take the plunge.

As an exemplar of DX with a 40-year global partnership with SAP in technology and services, Fujitsu has recently been recognized as the newest SAP partner to join the Regional Strategic Services Partner (RSSP) initiative launched in Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) to further reinforce the SAP ecosystem within the region. Fujitsu’s participation in the SAP RSSP effort is a major step in realizing the company’s ambition for “Business Applications” to facilitate more sustainable business transformation as part of Fujitsu Uvance, the company’s portfolio of global solutions aimed at realizing a sustainable world.

He stated that digitalization and smart technology allow Lenovo to achieve efficiency and accuracy at scale, with the intelligent enterprise resource planning (ERP) system SAP S/4HANA being a cornerstone investment in Lenovo’s digital core.

Driving Sustainability

Sustainability is a key aspect of Lenovo’s services-led transformation, with device-as-a-service (DaaS) being an example. Lenovo designs sustainability into every step of the offering, from deployment to maximizing utilization during the asset lifecycle and utilizing recovery services for secure and responsible handling at the end of the useful device life.

Lenovo’s transformation is driven by a new services-led business model supported by modern digital infrastructure. SAP has been on this journey with Lenovo, with the company utilizing cloud services from SAP, SAP Ariba solutions, and SAP Concur solutions. Along with the development of cloud-based ERP Systems, SAP and LG CNS aim to engage in a deeper go-to-market (GTM) strategy not only in South Korea but worldwide.

LG CNS, a leading information technology services and solutions provider in South Korea has sealed a strategic alliance with German tech giant SAP in a bid to bolster the development of next-generation enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions. (InsideSAP Asia often references articles from websites in other languages to bring you as much information as possible.) The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony held at SAP headquarters in Waldorf, Germany was attended by high-ranking executives from the two companies. including SAP CEO Christian Klein, LG CNS CEO Hyun Shin-kyun, and Head of SAP Enterprise Cloud Services and SAP Sovereign Cloud Services, Peter Pluim.

“SAP is working together with more than 24,000 SAP partners around the world that are rich in capabilities such as LG CNS to help customers innovate,” expressed Pluim. “Through this agreement, we can accelerate SAP’s efforts to support digital transformation with LG CNS and help it become a sustainable intelligent company.“

Pluim shared that SAP, in partnership with LG CNS, pledges to drive innovation in building customer-centric solutions and services.

Building Next-Gen, Cloud-based ERP Systems

SAP Korea has launched several initiatives last year to accelerate cloud adoption in the country in collaboration with both government and private organizations– from introducing the SAP Young Next Cloud Academy, a completely free, hands-on cloud-based education program in partnership with the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry to delivering efficient and effective public cloud services under an MoU signed with NAVER Cloud and Cloud4C

This week, SAP Korea reinforced its commitment to accelerate the cloud’s momentum in the domestic market by establishing a co-innovation partnership with LG CNS, a subsidiary of LG Corporation that specializes in digital transformation (DX) leveraging AI, Data, and Cloud. Specifically, the alliance is pegged to develop and operate new ERP systems harnessing SAP S/4HANA for the Korean corporate market, including LG affiliates and, consequently, for the company’s international business.

Under the MoU, SAP will provide training on SAP Enterprise Cloud Service (SAP ECS) processes and IT tools to enable LG CNS to provide TechOps services to customers. From the alliance’s current collaboration model, the multinationals are looking to expand to Managed Service Model and Cloud Application Services. In addition, they will be exploring joint go-to-market opportunities harnessing SAP and LG CNS’ intelligent solutions and expertise as well as creating innovative solutions leveraging SAP technology.

Most recently, LG CNS has become a global strategic partner operating SAP S/4HANA, providing ERP services for the Korean and global markets across industries. The joint initiative with SAP Korea will support LG CNS’ plans to integrate application modernization (AM), artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning with ERP– strengthening its role as a provider of cloud-based ERP systems to help domestic and international customers remain agile, intelligent, and sustainable amidst changing business landscapes.

“This partnership is an opportunity for LG CNS to bring its next-generation ERP capabilities to a global level, and for SAP to expand its customer reach in the Korean market,” LG CNS CEO said. “We will work together to support our customers in their DX transformation journeys.”

Indian home solution products manufacturer CERA Sanitaryware Limited created a customer-centric strategy by investing in SAP CX solutions, including SAP C4C and SAP S/4HANA. The company’s transformation was driven by innovation and it is now reaping the rewards of its forward-thinking approach.

Technology has the potential to be a growth and transformation engine for businesses. This is especially true in the sanitaryware sector, which is prone to change and might benefit from streamlining its autonomous business processes. In light of the ever-increasing demand for consumer necessities, businesses have no choice but to push themselves to the limit and make use of technologies that are future-proof in order to provide seamless customer experience (CX).

One such company in the said industry that was established on a foundation that exemplifies excellence through transformation is CERA Sanitaryware Limited. The Ahmedabad, Gujarat-headquartered company was built with a commitment to fostering innovation through a strategy that places its customers at the forefront.

CERA Sanitaryware Limited is one of the home solutions suppliers in India that is growing at the quickest rate. The company reported a Consolidated Total Income of Rs 426.51 Crore for the quarter that ended on September 30, 2022. This is an increase of 7.55% from the previous quarter’s Total Income of Rs 396.58 Crore and an increase of 3.73% from the previous year’s same quarter Total Income of Rs 411.18 Crore. In the most recent reporting period, CERA Sanitaryware Limited generated a net profit after taxes of Rs 51.14 Crore.

Deepshikha Khaitan, the Joint Managing Director at CERA Sanitaryware Ltd, highlighted that the CERA Digital Era began with the objective of becoming the world’s greatest brand based on the basis of technology. This statement was made on the way towards further accomplishing the company’s goals. She went on to say that the dedication to technological advancement provides them with an unrivaled advantage over their competitors.

“Since its inception, we have invested in state-of-the-art manufacturing plants to achieve the highest standards of quality. From manufacturing precision to impeccable body finish, our factories ensure every product meets CERA’s quality benchmarks,” Khaitan further explained.

To help its business become successful in spite of challenges, an organization with a forward-thinking mindset such as CERA Sanitaryware Limited utilizes digital technology to promote innovation. Its purpose is to develop a framework that maximizes business excellence for an approach that is user-centric. This is especially important when it comes to creating tailored customer experiences.

Expediting Business Transformation With SAP CX Solutions

As a business that caters to customers from a wide range of economic brackets, CERA Sanitaryware Limited’s cornerstone is cutting-edge technology, which gives it an advantage over its rivals. Furthermore, with quality as a core principle, the company has invested in manufacturing plants that are ready for the future, which translates to its dedication to offering the greatest possible experience for its customers.

CERA Sanitaryware Limited was able to lay the foundation for future business expansion by integrating SAP CX solutions such as SAP S/4HANA and SAP C4C in 2017, with PwC serving as the company’s implementation partner. The SAP transformation project opened up new opportunities, which enabled it to automate previously separate business operations in order to achieve more effective data management and control.

“After the SAP C4C model was implemented, whenever our salesperson visits customer locations, he is empowered with rates, quotations, and other details on his mobile device. So, what sometimes used to take a few days has now shrunk to just one day. This is the biggest achievement,” CERA Sanitaryware Limited Chief Information Officer (CIO) Manish Chandegara shared.

Among the most notable benefits of leveraging the SAP CX solution are:

  • After integrating SAP C4C into their operations, management found that processes were more streamlined, consistent, and data-driven.
  • Following the implementation of the SAP C4C Tiles module, the company can now efficiently fulfill even the largest orders for tiles.
  • Utilizing cutting-edge technology like 3D prototype printers, completely automatic chrome plating, pressure casting equipment, glazing, robotic grinding, and polishing, the business was able to streamline their decision-making processes and boost their ability to keep track of sales orders.

SAP Vice President and Head of Customer Experience Business for the Indian Subcontinent, Sudeep Singh, commented on CERA Sanitaryware Limited’s transformation by saying that SAP, as a business transformation partner, is dedicated to helping businesses realize their full potential and ignite innovation at every level. He added:

“CERA embarked on that journey with SAP keeping their customers core to their growth and vision. We’re honored to partner with CERA in helping them streamline their customer experience, which directly impacts their growth and bottom lines. We look forward to deepening our relationship and helping CERA leverage the true power of SAP C4C and Customer 360”.
