RISE with SAP continues to gain traction in Japan with new customers — textile products company Chori Co., Ltd. and lighting fixtures manufacturer Koizumi Lighting Co., Ltd. — signing up for the signature SAP cloud enterprise solution.

SAP’s cloud-led strategy is paying off with customers as the company has seen accelerated cloud adoption, growth in new segments, and a significant rise in the number of customers transitioning to the cloud. The shift is likely due to the many benefits that come with using cloud services, such as increased flexibility, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. The German enterprise software giant intends to make the most out of this huge business move, looking poised to continue leading the way in the cloud computing space.

In particular, RISE with SAP is continually attracting companies in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region that are looking to rapidly move their mission-critical systems to the cloud. This is especially true for organizations with smaller IT footprints or budgets. The Business Transformation as a Service (BTaaS) signature offering provides a unique opportunity for these organizations to take advantage of the benefits of cloud computing without having to make a large investment in new infrastructure.

With the help of RISE with SAP, customers can make use of cloud technology in order to improve their business processes and achieve better results. Additionally, the analytics and business intelligence capabilities offered by the solution can also help customers gain insights into their businesses and make more informed decisions. The SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) also intends to provide customers with the tools and resources they need to build custom applications and solutions that meet their specific needs.

In Japan, Chori Co., Ltd. and Koizumi Lighting Co., Ltd. have both announced that they have adopted RISE with SAP. Based on the tech giant’s intelligent enterprise resource planning (ERP) system SAP S/4HANA Cloud, the solution is deemed a big step for both companies as it will allow them to tap into the power of the cloud in order to run their businesses more effectively and efficiently.

Chori Co., Ltd. is a multinational corporation dealing in the export and import of textiles, chemicals, and machinery. In order to bring its new vision for the future into fruition, Chori plans to revamp not only its financial performance, but also its operations, personnel, and structure. As part of its RISE with SAP implementation, the organization has decided to use SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition, SAP BTP, and SAP Analytics Cloud.

On the other hand, Koizumi Lighting Co., Ltd. is an organization that works on improving the quality of life in people’s homes, businesses, and public areas through the design of lighting systems and the implementation of energy strategies. Recent years have seen the organization overhaul manufacturing, sales, purchasing, and accounting practices across the board (including those of partner companies) and rebuild the core system with digital transformation as its overarching goal. Hitachi Systems, Ltd., a company with extensive experience in SAP solution implementation, will be responsible for developing and implementing Koizumi Lighting’s RISE with SAP platform. The new system is ERP-centric and seeks to construct an integrated database that can centrally handle all information by making use of SAP S/4HANA Cloud, which is well-regarded in the manufacturing industry.
