Following its latest strategic collaboration with the German enterprise software giant, Infosys will leverage capabilities from SAP Business Process Intelligence (SAP BPI) to develop and provide a new Business Process Transformation-as-a-Service (BPTaaS) offering to customers.
With more than four decades of experience in managing the systems of global enterprises, Infosys utilises its technological expertise, industry knowledge, and network of alliances to help clients — across a range of sectors in over 50 countries — navigate their digital transformation journeys. Last year, the Bengaluru-based multinational company has integrated the Infosys Personalised Medicine Solution into several solutions from SAP such as SAP S/4HANA, the SAP C/4HANA Suite, SAP Analytics Cloud, and the SCI platform to enable pharmaceutical companies in deriving intelligent insights into personalised patient experiences, as well as resolve critical business challenges and meet regulatory requirements.
During this year’s SAPPHIRE NOW online conference, the German tech giant launched the SAP Process Insights solution, which is part of the SAP BPI portfolio of products, to help track process workflows using data collected from its enterprise resource planning (ERP) suite. The solution aims to deliver transparency about additional sources of value within SAP S/4HANA or the SAP ERP application to maximise returns across business areas. Infosys, together with EY and Deloitte, was named a strategic partner working with the SAP BPI portfolio to help organisations achieve process transformation.
As part of this partnership, Infosys will place SAP BPI at the core of its process transformation services, utilise its accelerators and methodologies, as well as its innovative use cases on Live Enterprise Suite, to address customers’ evolving process transformation needs. Recently, the Indian global systems integrator and next-generation digital services provider has announced a new BPTaaS offering that will augment RISE with SAP — a flexible bundle of SAP’s cloud services delivered through a subscription licencing model and is designed to give customers freedom of deployment for their business transformation.
Putting SAP BPI at the Centre of Infosys’ New BPTaaS Product
Infosys’ latest offering aims to minimise complexity for customers and speed up value realisation by utilising the company’s portfolio of industry cloud solutions. These are a part of Infosys Cobalt, a variety of services, solutions, and platforms to assist enterprises in their cloud journey. Commenting on the new partnership with Infosys, Rouven Morato, General Manager of Business Process Intelligence at SAP, remarked:
“The value of BPI extends beyond IT and actually impacts how businesses operate. Our blended expertise with Infosys, will enable enterprises to accelerate their digitisation journey and scale their businesses globally.”
The BPTaaS product, according to Infosys, intends to allow businesses to outsource their process transformation to specialists and experts who can consistently and incrementally improve the efficiency of their processes. Dinesh Rao, Executive Vice President and Global Head of Enterprise Application Services at Infosys, said that BPI is becoming an increasingly important part of the enterprise transformation journey as the more organisations continue to move towards the cloud. Reflecting on the collaboration with SAP, he maintained:
“We are delighted to work with SAP in bringing the best-in-class offering to clients for enhancing their process efficiencies. By harnessing our Cobalt portfolio, we look forward to improving the inefficient business processes that become an impediment to enterprises’ transformation journey. Given our strong relationship with SAP, we will continue to deliver value and innovative solutions to our clients.”
