As SAP maintains its reputation as a global brand and grows its offices across all regions, new SAP leaders are appointed to ensure that the standard SAP culture is maintained. They also make sure that the delivery of quality products and services are continuously met – all these while finding ways to exceed customer expectations by developing new technologies to meet the increasing workloads and growing demands across various markets.
Following the appointment of Kok Cheong Hong as the new Managing Director of SAP Malaysia, SAP announced the appointment of a new member of the management team via PR Newswire. Fabian Padilla Crisol was recently appointed as the Managing Director of SAP Hong Kong. He will be reporting directly to Mark Gibbs, the Global Executive Vice President of SAP SE and President for SAP Greater China.
Fabian Padilla Crisol holds a master’s degree from the University of Mannheim. He has more than 20 years of experience in product development, strategy, and implementation, which he will deliver in his new role for the Hong Kong office. He was previously from SAP headquarters in Walldorf, Germany. With the relocation, he will lead SAP’s Hong Kong team in exploring new growth opportunities by leveraging innovation, championing the customer-first approach, and providing support for enterprise customers.
Gibbs highlighted Fabian’s experience, excellent leadership skills, and proven track record. He shared:
“With him out in front, SAP Hong Kong will ensure our large, strategic customers continue to see value from our enterprise applications portfolio, as well as help new customers scale their businesses with our innovative solutions.”
When asked about his thoughts on the new appointment, Fabian shared his excitement to lead SAP Hong Kong. He noted accelerating growth as intelligent enterprises using SAP’s solutions as one of his objectives. He also pointed out Hong Kong as a valuable ground for digital opportunities. He said:
“Hong Kong’s digital landscape is full of opportunities for companies to take advantage of the latest technologies to become more efficient, deliver better customer and employee experiences, and transform their businesses to move ahead of their competition.”
Crisol previously held roles in SAP with specialties in project implementation, sales management, solution development, and strategic counseling. His experiences also involve people management. He led multi-cultural teams from the Americas, Asia Pacific, and Japan and EMEA. He has also developed new business ecosystems and spearheaded successful transformation programmes in the region.
Additionally, some of his recent positions included Global Vice President of Global Customer Operations and Head of Strategic Finance Projects Delivery at SAP headquarters in Germany. He has also provided counseling and support to present SAP co-CEO, Jennifer Morgan, during her days as an SAP Executive Board member. He also offered support for Adaire Fox-Martin in implementing strategic projects for the Global Customer Operations organisation.
