xSuite Asia Pte. Ltd. (xSuite Asia) has been certified by the Singapore government’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) as a PEPPOL-Ready e-invoicing system.
PEPPOL, which stands for Pan-European Public Procurement On-Line, is an electronic data interchange (EDI) protocol, designed to simplify the purchase-to-pay process. IMDA is the PEPPOL Authority in Singapore and is responsible for approving and certifying Access Point (AP) providers in the country.
The PEPPOL-certified xSuite e-invoicing system provides SAP users in Singapore two key benefits. First, it allows companies using xSuite to send, receive and correctly display electronic invoices in accordance with IMDA standards. Second, the accounts payable solution now supports sending and receiving electronic invoices in InvoiceNow format.
According to a report, the xSuite solution ensures SAP-integrated, automated processing of incoming invoices and is geared toward Singaporean enterprises that use SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA.
E-Invoicing System in Singapore
In Singapore, using an e-invoicing system for payments processing is encouraged. IMDA is promoting the use of e-invoices by working with industries to implement the nationwide e-invoicing system with InvoiceNow—the leading format in Singapore for EDI based on the PEPPOL standards.
InvoiceNow allows the direct transmission of invoices in structured digital format from one finance system to another using the Nationwide E-delivery network based on XML-based syntaxes that are used in e-invoices.
According to IMDA, unlike PDF invoices sent by email, an e-invoice in InvoiceNow format is completely generated, transmitted and processed digitally with little to no manual processing, enabling businesses to:
- enhance digital efficiencies
- reduce costs
- enjoy faster payment cycles and better cash flow for suppliers
- access new financing options
- build a strong foundation for digitalization
PEPPOL Access Point
Using InvoiceNow requires a PEPPOL Access Point, which xSuite Asia operates together with leading telecommunications company, Starhub.
According to xSuite, the company together with Starhub and IMDA are offering free webinars to provide information about InvoiceNow and its transmission. A recording of the latest webinar can be viewed at xSuite Asia’s website.
