Fujitsu Limited and SAP Japan are collaborating to offer supply chain solutions and systems integration services to Japanese manufacturing companies.
The partners will combine two products from SAP’s supply chain solution suite – SAP Manufacturing Execution and SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence – with Fujitsu’s manufacturing expertise, to enable businesses in the sector to connect operations data across the entire length of the supply chain, to help to more quickly resolve incidents that can slow down production.
Under the terms of the collaboration, Fujitsu will receive technology training, sales and implementation support in relation to these SAP solutions, and the two companies plan to work together on sales promotion activities.
Though the partnership initially will target Japanese companies, SAP and Fujitsu are also considering future joint expansion of the offering to Asia and other regions.
Fujitsu is already offering SAP’s supply chain solutions in the US.
