SAP Japan launched new services to support SAP business partners in implementing SAP solutions, including SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba, SAP Customer Experience, and SAP S/4HANA Cloud, to midsize enterprises.
SAP has recently announced its preliminary financial results for the third quarter of 2021 showing strong growth in its cloud portfolio, including SAP S/4HANA cloud, and continued momentum on its business transformation offering RISE with SAP.
SAP S/4HANA’s current cloud backlog was up 60{aa282f308afcc222aaa21b0478c79e01a8fedd01972e2180867097bd93930f22} (Non-IFRS) to €1.28 billion and up 58{aa282f308afcc222aaa21b0478c79e01a8fedd01972e2180867097bd93930f22} (at constant currencies) consequently accelerating the cloud revenue with a 20{aa282f308afcc222aaa21b0478c79e01a8fedd01972e2180867097bd93930f22} increase to €2.39 billion and 20{aa282f308afcc222aaa21b0478c79e01a8fedd01972e2180867097bd93930f22} increase (at constant currencies). Furthermore, despite the expected decline in the software licenses revenue, SAP is raising its full-year 2021 outlook with the increased adoption of RISE with SAP subscription offering by customers of all sizes to back their mission-critical core processes.
“Our strategy is clearly working. Customers are choosing SAP for their business transformation in the cloud. We see record adoption of our applications and our platform. This has resulted in strong acceleration of our cloud growth,” said SAP CEO Christian Klein.
In Japan, SAP acknowledges the growing demand for SAP S4/HANA Cloud and RISE with SAP and has designed new service packages to support implementation projects of SAP partners. New Services for SAP Business Partners in Japan
In September, SAP Fioneer Japan was launched to support the digital finance transformation of Japanese enterprises in the Financial Services Industry (FSI) space with SAP software solutions. Today, SAP Japan continues with its drive for innovation with three new services crafted in consideration of the potential challenges that SAP partners might encounter concerning SAP solution deployments as well as to help reduce risk and protect revenue by increasing the accuracy of project planning.
- Partner Services for RISE with SAP– This offering includes 15 services, offered at a fixed price, to help in the successful migration of mission-critical systems. SAP partners have the option to select and combine each component and match it to their services– giving them flexibility in fulfilling customer requirements and challenges. Offshore resources support is provided and delivered in Japanese.
- Partner Mentoring Service– SAP Japan will be assigning dedicated mentors such as project managers, solution architects, and technical architects to conduct an online meeting once a week for 13 weeks and tackle ways to work around SAP solutions. Upon availing the Partner Mentoring Service, partners must select which product–SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba, SAP Customer Experience, SAP S / 4HANA Cloud– they need the service for.
- Partner Coaching Service– This service allows partners to receive technical coaching for SAP solution implementation projects. They get access to 30-minute online meeting opportunities with SAP Japan professional staff– on-demand, up to 10 times in 6 months. SAP partners can avail of the coaching service and take deep-dives into the settings, technology, and project management for solutions such as SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba, SAP Customer Experience, and SAP S / 4HANA Cloud.
Some of the Japanese enterprises that have recently deployed SAP cloud solutions are chemicals trading firm Nagase & Co. and leading precious metals trader, refiner, and manufacturer Tanaka Holdings. Nagase & Co. has adopted RISE with SAP Cloud Offering, which includes SAP Business Technology Platform and SAP Analytics Cloud, as part of the company’s business transformation strategy. Tanaka Holdings has embarked on an SAP S/4HANA Cloud implementation project this month, in partnership with consulting firms QUNIE Corporation and Fujitsu Limited to further expand its business by visualising management information.
