The latest initiative by the German tech giant which aims to propel the SAP practice of eligible partners within the APJ region is separate from the company’s existing Global Strategic Services Partner (GSSP) program.

Software enterprise multinational SAP announced today a brand new initiative for Asia Pacific and Japan intended to further strengthen the SAP ecosystem within the region. Dubbed as Regional Strategic Services Partner (RSSP) initiative, the latest strategy focuses on providing qualified partners with technical and support services to help them scale their SAP practice rapidly in collaboration with SAP APJ to advance the success of their joint customers.

“APJ is one of the fastest-growing regions for SAP, and our partner ecosystem plays an integral role in customers’ transformation,” said Paul Marriott, President of APJ, SAP. “With over 24,000 registered partners globally and close to 20% in APJ, there is a large SAP-certified community that can benefit customers and the broader ecosystem.”

The RSSP initiative offers SAP partners with coordinated industry-aligned solutions, joint go-to-market strategy, and access to SAP regional and market unit industry expertise, among other support services, to deepen their SAP capabilities and boost their growth momentum. The newest strategy in APJ is a separate partner initiative from SAP’s Global Strategic Services Partner (GSSP) program, which also promotes SAP global partners’ competencies across various expertise such as consulting, infrastructure, and technology. GSSP features SAP Partner Finder that allows customers to select the best-fit SAP services provider according to their digital transformation needs.

Bolstering the SAP Practice of Partners in APJ

Similar to GSSP, the RSSP program will showcase partners within the APJ that have the capability and capacity to deliver SAP services according to requirements that are unique to the region. However, SAP APJ highlighted that candidate partners must meet or exceed set SAP parameters such as geographical presence, vertical industry competencies, and joint sustainability initiatives to qualify and be part of the RSSP program.

SAP announced Japanese consulting firm ABeam Consulting as its pioneer partner in the RSSP initiative. ABeam Consulting is a consistent recipient of SAP Asia Pacific Japan Regional Partner Excellence Awards including the RISE with SAP S/4HANA New Logos Partner given in 2022. The award recognizes the company’s project achievements as one of the pioneer adopters of SAP’s comprehensive, Business Transformation as a Service (BTaaS) offering RISE with SAP.

“Congratulations to ABeam Consulting on becoming our first partner to join the Regional Strategic Services Partner initiative. We look forward to amplifying ABeam’s SAP expertise across the region and driving more innovations for customers. And I look forward to welcoming more regional partners to the RSSP initiative,” expressed Marriott.

Taking pride in being the first partner on board SAP’s regional initiative, Tatsuya Kamoi, President and CEO of ABeam Consulting, commented:

“This is a recognition of the fast growth of SAP business in Asia Pacific and the quality of our flexible and adaptive services that take into account diverse local business practices and needs. It also highlights our advantages in delivering cutting-edge solutions and realizing customer value, as well as the scalability of our integrated deployment across our Asian offices.”

Kamoi stressed that the RSSP program reflects ABeam Consulting’s deepening alliance with SAP that also supports the global consulting firm’s growth strategy and goal of becoming the top consulting firm in Asia as a “social change accelerator”.
