SAP solution and service provider Datavard has expanded into Asia with the opening of a new Singapore office.

The Asian branch is the 11th international office for the company, established in response to the dynamic growth of the SAP and Asian IT markets more generally.

“With local presence, we can better serve customers across the globe,” said Gregor Stoeckler, CEO, Datavard.

The company has appointed Ekrem Namazci as APJ regional managing director, to oversee Datavard’s go-to-market and development of a regional partner and customer network with the local sales and support team.

Namazci most recently held the position of managing director, APAC with Canadian software provider, Longview Solutions. Previously he held sales roles with Arcplan and with SAP Germany, handling mid-sized companies and key accounts.

“Singapore is the next logical step for Datavard as one of Europe’s fastest growing IT companies. This region is leading high-tech advancement with a young community open to innovation. I’m excited about establishing and expanding an exceptionally dynamic company in this remarkably dynamic region,” said Namazci.

Datavard has capabilities in optimising analytics, data management, data offloading, SAP HANA and Hadoop integration, SAP system management and operations, system landscape optimisation and SAP HANA implementation.

The company was recognised by Gartner as the leading niche player in the latest ‘Magic Quadrant for Structured Data Archiving and Application Retirement’.
