This event marks an exciting expansion phase for SAP in India, furthering its commitment to the region and the cloud technology sector.
As an integral part of SAP’s global development network, SAP Labs India has been pivotal in driving cloud adoption in India. Since its establishment 25 years ago, SAP Labs India has significantly contributed to SAP’s global Research and Development, responsible for a substantial 40% of the overall efforts. The new campus in Devanahalli will only further enhance this role, promising to generate around 15,000 new jobs in the sector and help sustain the ongoing digital transformation in India.

A Groundbreaking Ceremony Paves the Way for Sustainable SAP Vision
The inauguration ceremony of the Devanahalli campus was graced by the presence of Sindhu Gangadharan, MD and SVP, SAP Labs India, Mohammed Anzy, Chief Operating Officer, SAP Labs India, and Roshan Gowda, Regional Head, Global Real Estate and Facilities – APJ & Greater China, SAP. This significant event saw the SAP vision evolving into reality, with the groundbreaking of the state-of-the-art campus.
Demonstrating the tangible implementation of SAP’s commitment to environmental sustainability, the new campus will spread across a vast 41.07 acres, incorporating sustainable design elements to minimize its environmental footprint. The state-of-the-art facility will house up to 15,000 employees and is intended to operate as a Net Zero, Water Positive, and Carbon Neutral entity.
Moreover, the SAP vision encompasses not just technological growth but also the well-being and inclusivity of its employees. With this in mind, the new campus has been designed to keep the employee experience central to its operations.
