In the process of transforming India’s energy landscape, renewable energy provider Hero Future Energies (HFE) Pvt. Ltd is counting on SAP S/4HANA to help them transform their own operations, harnessing the power of real-time data and a single platform for end-to-end business process integration at 25 energy project sites across India.
As part of The Hero Group, independent power producer HFE was formed in 2012 to focus on delivering clean energy through wind, solar and rooftop solar projects in India. Renewable energy is increasingly being heralded as the solution for bringing reliable energy access to India’s population.
Bolstering its resources to continue both solar and wind projects, HFE just raised US$125 million in an equity infusion from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, in conjunction with the IFC Global Infrastructure Fund.
HFE, working with SAP partner YASH Technologies, expects the SAP S/4HANA implementation to enable operational and financial efficiencies as well as simplifying operations and increasing business transparency overall.
“As we aim to drive India’s development by spearheading a change [in] the power sector, it was crucial for us to have a sustainable digital roadmap which streamlined our operations and provided instant visibility across the business,” said Debnath Mukhopadhyay, additional general manager, accounts & finance, Hero Future Energies.
“In today’s digital economy, companies are embracing innovation and technology to gain real-time insights and boost efficiencies,” said Neeraj Athalye, head of S/4HANA, SAP Indian Subcontinent. “By adopting SAP S/4HANA, Hero Future Energies will have a proven foundation to take the lead in this age and transform into a ‘Live Business’.”
“Hero Future Energies is one of India’s fastest growing independent power producers and we are privileged to be their IT partner of choice,” said Suman Pariyar, country manager, YASH Technologies Pvt Ltd.
