Major changes to the SAP management department in Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) have recently been made. Two key appointments include Subramanian Ananthapadmanabhan taking on the role of Senior Vice President (SVP) and Head of Midmarket and Claus Andresen being promoted as Head of Cloud Success Services.
Riding on the momentum of its strong cloud business, the German enterprise software giant has unveiled new leadership appointments to maintain its position at the forefront of business innovation and further expand its management team in APJ. In a press release statement, SAP noted that Ananthapadmanabhan, the former Head of Midmarket at SAP India, will now be in charge of a regional team that will support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in utilising the power of intelligent enterprise solutions and applications to modernise their business processes.
As part of his new role as SVP and Head of Midmarket at SAP APJ, Ananthapadmanabhan will spearhead the organisation’s go-to-market strategy with a particular emphasis on cloud hypergrowth, discovering and developing opportunities in new market categories, and increasing customer lifetime value. Ananthapadmanabhan believes establishing new networks while reinforcing older relationships has always played a crucial role in achieving growth. Commenting on his new appointment, he further said:
“I am honoured to get this opportunity again, as I take the next step at SAP, to lead the Midmarket business for Asia Pacific Japan. With the current pace of innovation in Midmarket stronger than ever, this segment is poised to change communities, industries, and economies for the better.”
“I am super excited to recommit ourselves to our customers and partners on their journey of innovation, sustainability, and transformations,” Ananthapadmanabhan published on LinkedIn.
Bolstering the APJ Business with New SAP Management Appointments
SAP APJ President Paul Marriott said that hiring the right person for the job is one of the most important decisions they make. Sharing more about his thoughts on Ananthapadmanabhan’s appointment, Marriott commented in a post:
“I’m delighted that Subbu Ananthapadmanabhan will lead our hugely successful Mid Market team, partnering with our customers and supporting them through their next phase of growth. Subbu fervently believes SMEs power our region’s growth and by transitioning to the cloud they have an opportunity to significantly change communities, industries, and economies for the better.”
Meanwhile, Claus Andresen has also been promoted as Head of Cloud Success Services in APJ. Andresen, who has more than a decade of experience in the region, is dedicated to using digital transformation in providing a competitive advantage for companies and helping them achieve their long-term business strategies.
SAP’s Cloud Success Services organisation, which was founded in 2022, brings together a global force of over 20,000 employees to develop and deliver new services and products and assist clients in maximising the value of SAP in the cloud. Throughout Andresen’s guidance, the company will work with Fortune 500 firms as well as small businesses in the region to make sure that they get the most out of their enterprise software investments.
Last January, SAP also named Susanna Hasenoehrl as SVP and Head of Sustainability for APJ. As part of its mission to expand the company’s portfolio of sustainability-specific solutions, the role aims to support clients and partners in attaining their strategic environmental objectives while complying with regulatory requirements.
