“Our cloud business continues its strong growth trajectory in Asia Pacific Japan, powered by strong growth in SAP HANA. There is growing interest in S/4HANA as more customers seek to reduce the complexity of business processes, reduce hardware costs and reinvent their business for the digital world,” said Adaire Fox-Martin, president, SAP Asia Pacific Japan.
During the first quarter, in the cloud arena, AirAsia Global Shared Services selected the Concur Travel and Expense Solution, while Renesas Electronics Corporation and Philippines telecommunications company Globe Telecom Inc both chose SAP Ariba. Through this implementation, Globe hopes to improve sourcing cycle times and minimise cost per transaction for purchase requests.
Indonesian professional services and consulting firm SOLTIUS has adopted SAP Cloud for Sales solutions, alongside SAP Jam and SAP SuccessFactors Learning, to improve upsell, cross-sell and customer satisfaction, while Malaysia’s Petrotek Sdn Bhd, which supplies instrumentation to the manufacturing and oil and gas industries, has opted for the SAP Cloud for Customer Edge edition to drive its digital cloud transformation strategy.
In other customer highlights, Indian industrial packaging products manufacturer BalmerLawrie Vin Leer Ltd (BLVL), has implemented SAP Business One on HANA for 140 users across five locations, and Global Facilities Management (GFM) chose SAP to provide it with a fully integrated system with governance and compliance capabilities. GFM is seeking to achieve higher levels of data accuracy, and to reduce redundancy and errors in manual operations, for faster responsiveness to customers.
