SAP has appointed Edler Panlilio as the managing director for SAP Philippines, Inc., reporting to Claus Andresen, president and managing director, SAP Southeast Asia.
Edler replaces Ryan Poggi, who has accepted another executive position within SAP Asia Pacific Japan.
Building on SAP’s 22 year history in the Philippines, Edler will be responsible for driving business growth and operations across the nation. He brings 20 years’ experience in the IT industry to his new role, including leadership roles in the Philippines with Symantec, Sun Microsystems and Logica.
Edler, who joined SAP in 2013, most recently held the position of senior director, Key Accounts, where he managed a sales force consisting of key account managers, cloud specialists, platform, and CRM specialists focused on the company’s most valuable customers.
“The Philippines economy remains vibrant and is the tenth fastest growing economy in the world,” said Andresen. “With a stable and sustainable economic environment, SAP is well poised to help the Philippines’ economy grow by supporting the country’s digital agenda with our technology.”
Andresen said that Edler’s promotion reinforces the strong leadership SAP has established in Southeast Asia. “I am confident that Edler will be able to build on our growth trajectory and accelerate our growth plans in the Philippines,” he said.
“The Philippines has a great opportunity to leapfrog into the next phase of digitisation as government organisations and companies in the private sector embark on a digital transformation journey,” said Edler.
“The Philippines’ digital strategy has served as a great framework for organisations to start thinking about how we can collectively work together towards the vision of the Philippines’ digital future.”
