Japanese Corporations Transform with SAP Cloud Software

SAP cloud software has been recently bolstering the German multinational’s cloud play as reflected in the company’s 2021 quarter four and full-year financial results. 

SAP CEO Christian Klein had stated earlier that SAP’s cloud strategy is reinforced by the increasing number of organisations relying on SAP solutions to support their business transformation and move to the cloud. Aside from exceeding the high end of the company outlook for cloud and software revenues, the enterprise has also witnessed a massive adoption of its signature cloud offering, SAP S/4HANA Cloud, driven by RISE with SAP launched in January 2021.

Mitsui & Co., Ltd. Transforms HR

Mitsui and Co., Ltd., one of the largest sogo shosha in Japan, has earlier transitioned to the cloud implementing SAP S/4HANA across 40 countries to replace its old legacy ERP software. In partnership with ABeam Consulting Co., Ltd.– one of the winners so SAP APJ Partner Excellence Awards 2022– the Japanese corporation aims to advance global talent development and growth by harnessing SAP’s cloud HCM (Human Capital Management) software specifically designed to deliver enhanced employee experiences. Through the HR modernisation project, Mitsui is looking into creating a diverse, global talent pool based on data– eliminating biases and ensuring that the right talent is at the right place. 

The company has seven operating segments including Mineral & Metal Resources, Energy, and Innovation & Corporate Development and 16 headquarters across Africa, Asia, CIS, Europe, North, Central and South America, and the Middle East.

Subaru Modernsies Accounting

Global car manufacturer Subaru Corporation has adopted SAP S/4HANA Cloud and SAP Cash Management to advance the company’s accounting and finance processes. SAP Japan shared in the article that the rollout has now been completed ahead of schedule, enabling Subaru to enhance accounting and tax quality, reduce risks, and workloads. The company intends to extend its group governance and risk management efforts in accounting and finance to the entire SUBARU Group.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud’s capabilities in finance help companies improve profitably and cost with comprehensive analytics, streamline accounting and financial close processes, and manage enterprise risk and compliance effectively. Meanwhile, SAP Cash Management offers enterprises a single platform to streamline capital management and liquidity accounting processes from various sources.

Bourbon Co., Ltd. Overhauls IT Infrastructure

One of Japan’s leading confectionery manufacturers, Bourbon Co., Ltd., has partnered with IT service provider Hitachi Systems, Ltd. to modernise its IT infrastructure as the foundation of the company’s digital transformation strategy. The SAP ERP solution offers organisations increased efficiency with planning and simulation options in many conventional transactions.
