SAP has grown non-IFRS cloud subscriptions and support revenue by 88 per cent in the Asia-Pacific Japan region in the third quarter of 2015, driving up non-IFRS cloud and software revenue by 8 per cent, with India and South Korea strong contributors to growth.

“Our strong momentum in the third quarter reflects the continued strength of our cloud business, powered by SAP HANA in the market,” said Adaire Fox-Martin, president, SAP Asia Pacific Japan. “We are facilitating our customers’ efforts to make the transition to the digital economy and our results are a validation that they believe in our mission to help them run simple. An increasing number of customers are choosing SAP S/4HANA to digitise their core business processes, harness real-time data and turn insight into action.”

Among the customer wins for the third quarter were CitiPower and Powercor Australia Ltd, which selected SAP SuccessFactors solutions including Employee Central; Singapore’s Changi Airport Group, which also selected SuccessFactors; India’s Asian Paints, which went live with Simple Finance and S/4HANA; Southeast Asia dairy product provider Dutch Mill, which licensed SAP S/4HANA; and Japanese interior decoration company Sangetsu Co, which selected S/4HANA, SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud and Concur.

International insurance group Ageas also selected industry-specific offerings for HANA Enterprise Cloud for its expansion plans in Asia, while Jasper InfoTech, which operates India’s largest online marketplace, Snapdeal.com, expanded its SAP Cloud footprint with the addition of Ariba Sourcing Pro, with the aim of automating the company’s entire sourcing process.
