Bangalore-based, global IT services company Mindtree has taken ETA MELCO Elevator Co. live on SAP S/4HANA in the first phase of its planned international migrations as the company embarks on its ambitious digital transformation journey.
ETA MELCO decided to move to SAP S/4HANA to integrate all its departments and business processes on a single platform, with the goal of achieving operational efficiencies and seamlessly executing their business processes. After evaluating several competitors, the company selected Mindtree to lead them through the migration.
Mindtree leveraged industry best practices to implement SAP S/4HANA applications, including Simple Finance, HR and Payroll, Procurement, Sales, Customer Service, Project Systems and Business Intelligence. The solution has already simplified the IT landscape at ETA MELCO and the company expects it will also enable the scaling it requires to increase its competitive position in the marketplace.
“ETA MELCO needed a scalable business platform to improve customer service levels and implement common business processes across their international locations,” said Rostow Ravanan, CEO and managing director, Mindtree, calling the project “one of the largest greenfield implementations of S/4HANA in the region”.
Ravanan said that SAP S/4HANA was ETA MELCO’s solution of choice. And Mindtree was the company’s implementation partner of choice. Abdul Mujeeb, CEO, ETA MELCO called Mindtree “the obvious choice,” adding, “Mindtree gave us the confidence with their wide experience and strong expertise in successfully implementing state-of-the-art SAP S/4HANA across the globe.”
Mujeeb said that Mindtree is not only the right choice of partners to enable this first-of-its kind implementation in the Middle East, but also beyond as ETA MELCO plans its global expansion.
ETA MELCO, a leading provider of elevators in the Middle East, is a joint venture between Mitsubishi Electric Corporation of Japan and Emirates Trading Agency of Dubai, UAE, part of the Al Ghurair Group of Companies.
