The eCommerce automation platform of Celigo brings the company in a unique position in the Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) market leveraging embedded business logic to automate business processes through built-in best practices.

San Mateo, California-headquartered Celigo Inc. is known for its world-class, cloud-based iPaaS platform that seamlessly integrates various applications to automate business processes in the organisation. The company has an increasing market presence across the US, India, Philippines, and the Netherlands and has been helping thousands of customers solve integration challenges to accelerate digitalisation.

Further broadening its reach to specifically support Shopify business operations, Celigo has announced that its Shopify Integration app for SAP Business ByDesign is now made available in SAP Store. By being on SAP Store, Celigo’s eCommerce automation platform has the opportunity to reach customers looking for SAP-validated solutions that fit their business needs on a global scale. Aside from becoming part of a digital marketplace that delivers simplified and connected digital customer experience, the company can now take part in SAP’s commitment to sustainability as the German software pledged to plant a tree for each solution purchased through the SAP Store.

eCommerce Automation Platform Driving DX

Explaining how organisations can benefit from the application, Randal Davis, Director of Channel Sales at Celigo, said:

“As online shopping overtakes a major part of retail sales, companies are being forced to improve their eCommerce operations to compete. Providing customers and the partners who serve them with the ability to automate eCommerce processes will expedite digital transformation across the entire business, giving those customers a competitive advantage as their companies grow.”

Davis highlighted that merchants must provide a frictionless customer experience that is also scalable now that more sales are rapidly moving online.

As a partner in the SAP PartnerEdge programme, Celigo is entitled to build software applications around SAP software and technology like the Shopify-SAP Business ByDesign Prebuilt Integration. Optimising Shopify operations, the application offers enterprises the following features and benefits:

  • Drive operational efficiency and scalability by automating the order-to-cash process
  • Achieve accurate inventory using either SAP Business ByDesign or another application with the platform’s capability to sync inventory across channels such as online, stores, and marketplaces
  • Integrates best practices with the flexibility to customise
  • Prebuilt workflows automate and sync sales orders, outbound deliveries, inventory and cancellations
  • Has an intuitive design that simplifies the process of setting up integrations, without the need for coding
  • Offers option to select Shopify or SAP Business ByDesign for sales tax handling
  • Has interactive dashboards for sophisticated error handling, enabling users to manage errors in real-time

“Celigo is a proven leader in eCommerce automation, particularly around Shopify and ERP integrations. A significant portion of Black Friday/Cyber Monday orders placed on Shopify storefronts moved through Celigo; the fact that Celigo experienced zero downtime despite a 10x spike in data volume highlights our expertise and scalability to handle high-volume Shopify merchants,” Davis added.

The software company’s presence in the mid-market automation space as well as its global expansion strategy is anticipated to thrive after raising $48 million in a Series C funding round led by OMERS Growth Equity and NewSpring Capital in December 2021. Celigo Founder and CEO Jan Arendtsz earlier said:

“For too long, the promise of the modern iPaaS has gone unrealised. Legacy providers connect cloud-based business applications, but the automation of business processes that use those applications has not improved. With the support of our investors, Celigo will enable breakaway growth, controlled cost management, and superior customer experiences for our customers by ensuring that every process — at every level of the organisation — can be automated in the most optimal way from a single platform.”

In January, Esker’s Order Management automation software and Accounts Payable automation solution have been certified by the SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC) for integration with SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

Esker’s AI-driven process automation solutions have been helping many organisations manage their Accounts Payable (AP) invoicing process holistically. Backed by its decade-long experience in global AP automation in the cloud and commitment to helping companies digitally transform their AP processes, Esker was recognised as a Market Leader, for the second consecutive year, in the 2021 ePayables Technology Advisor research report from Ardent Partners, a research and advisory firm that specialises in procurement, fintech, and HR industries. Ardent highlighted that companies of any size running SAP or multiple ERP systems operating globally and have significant reporting needs can rely on Esker for their AP transformation.

Recently, Esker has achieved another milestone to cater to the SAP ecosystem with its Accounts Payable Automation and Order Management automation solutions being available on SAP Store, the online marketplace where customers around the world can discover, try, buy, and renew solutions from SAP and its trusted partners. By being on SAP Store, Esker further expands its global market reach that currently spans across North America, Latin America, Europe, and the Asia Pacific as well as enhance the customer experience.

Catherine Dupuy-Holdich, Senior Product Manager at Esker, said:

“We are pleased that our solutions are available on SAP Store, enabling businesses to easily discover and purchase them. This will enable us to expand our reach within the SAP ecosystem, to deliver better results to our customers and accelerate their digital transformation.”

Accounts Payable Automation Solution for the SAP Ecosystem

Esker’s Order Management and Accounts Payable automation software now adds to the 1,800 solutions from SAP and its partners on SAP Store available for customers worldwide. This latest development came a few months after the solutions’ SAP ICC certification, which reaffirms Esker’s capability to deliver projects that meet SAP’s quality requirements and standards. Moreover, the certification assures that Esker can help customers maximise their SAP investments since the solutions not only can be integrated with SAP S/4HANA Cloud software but can also be compatible with future upgrades.

“Today, it is no longer enough to say that a solution integrates with SAP technology, it must be able to demonstrate the impact of that integration,” said Aurélien Coq, Product Manager at Esker. “At a time when companies are increasingly sensitive to the way their data is processed, this certification helps to assure customers of the highest quality and expertise.”

Through over 15 years of partnership with SAP, Esker has been developing AI-driven technologies and automating the order-to-cash and procure-to-pay cycles. Coq emphasised that the latest collaboration with the German software enterprise assures Esker’s customers that they will receive robust support whenever they are ready to migrate to SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

Amidst the challenges of the pandemic, Esker has seen a business recovery in the latter part of 2020 with the increasing traffic from its existing customer base. The company has achieved an 8{aa282f308afcc222aaa21b0478c79e01a8fedd01972e2180867097bd93930f22} increase in sales revenue versus 2019, a 13{aa282f308afcc222aaa21b0478c79e01a8fedd01972e2180867097bd93930f22} increase in the workforce to reach 764 employees worldwide and is optimistic of 2021.

SAP has introduced new features of SAP Store to simplify the digital shopping experience of customers making their journeys to the intelligent enterprise.

The software company’s new consolidated marketplace, called SAP Store and available at store.sap.com, has been established by merging SAP Store for SAP solutions with SAP App Center for partner solutions. Users of SAP Store can now benefit from new features that include a favorites section, tips for filtering, an updated category menu, and a guided search model.

The merging of SAP’s two marketplaces further elevates its partner ecosystem and strengthens its commitment to a customer-first approach by delivering the most relevant solutions tailored to individual customer needs.

Sharon Ruddock, Head of SAP Digital Commerce, said in a statement that SAP prioritises its customers’ and partners’ journey to becoming intelligent enterprises by establishing a seamless, unified digital marketplace platform for them. She stressed:

“We are committed to continuing to create this environment for our customers online, whether they are choosing a solution from SAP or an offering from one of our validated partners. Now, with the capability to discover SAP and partner offerings in one marketplace with an integrated and flexible search functionality, customers can find and access what they need faster and more intelligently than ever before, regardless of whom the solution is from.”

Meanwhile, IDC Research Director Frank Della Rosa said that customers value the ability to search for SAP and partner solutions simultaneously.

“The guided search also is vital to those seeking solutions via SAP’s Store, and the clean design and intuitive site navigation make discovery quick and frictionless at a time where speed and agility are critical success factors,” he added.

Newly Improved SAP Store Elevates Shopping Experience for Customers

The consolidated SAP Store maximises solution exposure and helps partners gain benefits from the marketplace by delivering their integration kits, applications, and add-ins to SAP’s global customers.

The single digital marketplace brings together all of the tech giant’s available offerings from SAP Store and over 1,800 solutions from SAP’s trusted partners previously available through SAP App Center

Additionally, SAP Store makes it easier for customers to browse through SAP and partner solutions by categories, products, lines of business, and industries. The following are the new capabilities of the consolidated platform:

  • A personalised favorites section allowing customers to save product pages and return to them later to contrast and compare with other offerings.
  • Tips for filtering feature suggesting the next-best steps for customers when they get to the search results page.
  • An updated category menu enabling users to navigate through expanded categories of products whether by solution type, product category, or industry.
  • An intuitively guided search model reducing the need for repeat searches by refining keywords and pointing customers to relevant product pages.

One of the latest additions to the SAP-validated partner apps and solutions in the SAP Store is Avo Assure. The solution has been developed by Avo Automation, a division of SAP Partner SLK Software headquartered in Bengaluru, India. It helps businesses that leverage SAP technologies in delivering streamlined test automation to adapt to the changing business dynamics of SAP environments.

Moreover, SAP aims to provide a new digital shopping experience for customers by allowing them to discover products that best suit their needs. According to the tech giant, it will plant a tree for each purchase made through the new consolidated marketplace.
