The latest initiative by the German tech giant which aims to propel the SAP practice of eligible partners within the APJ region is separate from the company’s existing Global Strategic Services Partner (GSSP) program.

Software enterprise multinational SAP announced today a brand new initiative for Asia Pacific and Japan intended to further strengthen the SAP ecosystem within the region. Dubbed as Regional Strategic Services Partner (RSSP) initiative, the latest strategy focuses on providing qualified partners with technical and support services to help them scale their SAP practice rapidly in collaboration with SAP APJ to advance the success of their joint customers.

“APJ is one of the fastest-growing regions for SAP, and our partner ecosystem plays an integral role in customers’ transformation,” said Paul Marriott, President of APJ, SAP. “With over 24,000 registered partners globally and close to 20% in APJ, there is a large SAP-certified community that can benefit customers and the broader ecosystem.”

The RSSP initiative offers SAP partners with coordinated industry-aligned solutions, joint go-to-market strategy, and access to SAP regional and market unit industry expertise, among other support services, to deepen their SAP capabilities and boost their growth momentum. The newest strategy in APJ is a separate partner initiative from SAP’s Global Strategic Services Partner (GSSP) program, which also promotes SAP global partners’ competencies across various expertise such as consulting, infrastructure, and technology. GSSP features SAP Partner Finder that allows customers to select the best-fit SAP services provider according to their digital transformation needs.

Bolstering the SAP Practice of Partners in APJ

Similar to GSSP, the RSSP program will showcase partners within the APJ that have the capability and capacity to deliver SAP services according to requirements that are unique to the region. However, SAP APJ highlighted that candidate partners must meet or exceed set SAP parameters such as geographical presence, vertical industry competencies, and joint sustainability initiatives to qualify and be part of the RSSP program.

SAP announced Japanese consulting firm ABeam Consulting as its pioneer partner in the RSSP initiative. ABeam Consulting is a consistent recipient of SAP Asia Pacific Japan Regional Partner Excellence Awards including the RISE with SAP S/4HANA New Logos Partner given in 2022. The award recognizes the company’s project achievements as one of the pioneer adopters of SAP’s comprehensive, Business Transformation as a Service (BTaaS) offering RISE with SAP.

“Congratulations to ABeam Consulting on becoming our first partner to join the Regional Strategic Services Partner initiative. We look forward to amplifying ABeam’s SAP expertise across the region and driving more innovations for customers. And I look forward to welcoming more regional partners to the RSSP initiative,” expressed Marriott.

Taking pride in being the first partner on board SAP’s regional initiative, Tatsuya Kamoi, President and CEO of ABeam Consulting, commented:

“This is a recognition of the fast growth of SAP business in Asia Pacific and the quality of our flexible and adaptive services that take into account diverse local business practices and needs. It also highlights our advantages in delivering cutting-edge solutions and realizing customer value, as well as the scalability of our integrated deployment across our Asian offices.”

Kamoi stressed that the RSSP program reflects ABeam Consulting’s deepening alliance with SAP that also supports the global consulting firm’s growth strategy and goal of becoming the top consulting firm in Asia as a “social change accelerator”.

The latest leadership appointments of Cloud4C, a global cloud managed services company of CtrlS Group, are set to strengthen the company’s focus on expanding the cloud ecosystem in the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region while also enhancing its SAP practice to assist organisations in their digital transformation journeys.

In recent years, Cloud4C has reinforced its position as a leading Cloud Managed Services Provider (MSP) that serves 4,000 clients in more than 20 countries and 50 locations across the globe. Aside from developing SAP frameworks that are benchmarked against SAP metrics on multi-cloud platforms, the Singapore-based IT company has been collaborating with major tech companies to further meet today’s demands for innovative cloud-based services.

Earlier this year, the company forged an alliance with Google Cloud to establish a Center of Excellence (CoE), based on SAP and Anthos technologies, which functions as a multi-disciplinary customer showcase hub for building and delivering solutions. This follows last year’s global Silver Partnership agreement with SNP Schneider-Neureither & Partner SE (the SNP Group) to offer packages for the accelerated adoption of SAP S/4HANA in the cloud.

Last June, Cloud4C was also awarded the SAP on Microsoft Azure Advanced Specialization certification, which validates the company’s capabilities to deliver specialised services and support in accordance with Microsoft’s technical standards and an independent audit. The IT firm’s status as a global Microsoft Azure Expert MSP was elevated as a result of the recognition, demonstrating its ability to cater to the needs of enterprises across various sectors.

Riding on the momentum of its extensive collaboration with different tech partners and its expansion in the industry, the company has recently announced new leadership appointments to bolster its management team and global operations. The addition of industry veterans Hoden Wan and Herman William as Vice President and Head of SAP Practice is anticipated to help grow Cloud4C’s SAP services line of business across APJ.

Executive Appointments at Cloud4C Set to Strengthen SAP Practice and Offerings

Pleased to announce the new leadership appointments, Cloud4C Founder and CEO Sridhar Pinnapureddy shared in a statement:

“The appointments of Wan and William signify Cloud4C’s consistent initiative to ensure the delivery of best-in-class services across industries. Their combined expertise in SAP will help the company critically analyze our SAP offerings to enhance them at every step of the process.”

According to the company, Wan and William will both assist the sales team in terms of customer engagement while also guiding the development of comprehensive enterprise solutions for its customers that invest in SAP technology. Geared towards building and increasing Cloud4C’s footprint of SAP consulting services among current and prospective clients, they will also hold regular training sessions in order to pass on their SAP expertise to end customers and other consulting partners.

Last month, Cloud4C also announced the promotion of Debdeep Sengupta as President and Chief Revenue Officer to help accelerate the firm’s growth, expand its global footprint, and increase market share in key areas globally, as the company aims to triple its revenue in the next five years. Sengupta held several strategic positions at SAP prior to joining Cloud4C. Aside from being an integral part of SAP’s Senior Executive Team in APJ, he was also once the President and Managing Director for SAP India and South Asia.

“Debdeep is certainly a stellar addition to our leadership team. His rich experience running cross-discipline, cross-regions, and cross-technologies will bring incredible value to our management team and operations globally. I extend him a warm welcome to the Cloud4C family and wish him great success,” Pinappureddy commented.
