Now joining the SAP Concur partner ecosystem, delaware Singapore provides spend management solutions in order to assist organisations in attaining their productivity objectives through high-quality automation and integration, employee experience, and spend visibility solutions in the local market.

In Singapore, delaware continues to be a recognised SAP partner with a strong background in SAP technologies, including SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation (SAP iRPA). The consulting firm prioritises its investment in SAP S/4HANA, the German tech giant’s future-ready enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, and is committed to helping organisations in their efforts to innovate using the platform. In addition, delaware is also authorised to market RISE with SAP, a Business Transformation as a Service (BTaaS) cloud offering.

With its own experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation, Delaware strives to streamline business processes, decrease complexity, and utilise technology to support clients in achieving their goals while also leveraging the potential of SAP Concur. The company’s integration with SAP Concur provides customers with a comprehensive overview of their total travel expenditure as well as trends in travel behaviour, enabling them to make better decisions regarding their travel programs and maintain greater control over them.

Joining the SAP Concur Partnership Programme

This month, delaware Singapore’s expertise will be combined with industry-leading SAP Concur Travel and Expense solutions after becoming a part of the SAP Concur partner ecosystem. The cooperation aims to help companies automate their enterprise travel and expense claims, further accelerating their digital transformation journeys. In a press release statement, Christophe Derdeyn, Partner at delaware Singapore, shared:

“We are excited about our SAP Concur partnership. Being part of the SAP Concur ecosystem allows us to help solve spend management challenges for our customers, especially with travel picking up again. This agreement will strengthen our long-standing and successful partnership with SAP.”

“With the SAP Concur solutions, it will help us provide our customers with state-of-the-art, integrated spend management solutions. We already have multiple successful implementations with our customers in the other delaware entities that have demonstrated the power of the SAP Concur solutions,” he added.

Implementing Concur Expense Solutions for TOMRA Food

Moreover, delaware recently implemented SAP Concur Expense solutions for TOMRA Food, a Belgium manufacturer of sensor-based sorting equipment and solutions for the food sector. According to the company, the implementation resulted in a significant improvement in the previously manual-intensive and cumbersome expense management processes. Additionally, the rate of value-added tax (VAT) compliance increased four-fold.

Sharing more about the project, Wim Vermeire, Senior Manager at delaware, explained:

“More than implementing a tool, this project is about defining a travel expense policy: defining an acceptable cost, what expenses can be reimbursed, how they should be charged, etc. TOMRA Food had done a great job in this, which made it straightforward for us to configure SAP Concur.”

SAP saw an increase of 30{aa282f308afcc222aaa21b0478c79e01a8fedd01972e2180867097bd93930f22} in requests for professional coaching after the pandemic, which would be critical in shaping the future of work for employees.

In a recent SAP TV In Focus episode “Coaching is Good for Business”, Jon Lieberman, VP for Corporate Affairs at SAP, and Kristen Reynolds, Global Ambassador Lead of SAP’s coaching program, talked about the pivotal role of coaching not only in employees’ career progression but also in the company’s overall performance.

Many organisations continue to find ways on how to keep the business thriving while ensuring the well being of employees in the time of COVID-19. To Reynolds, coaching is one of the ways to help employees manage mental health and achieve productivity despite the uncertainties and challenges of today. She said:

“Coaching is about self-reflection and enabling people to find the resources they need within themselves so they can make the transformation they’re looking for in their lives.”

Coaching is Future-Focused

The SAP Coaching Program head explained how different coaching is from therapy and counselling. As opposed to therapy or counseling, coaching is future-focused.

She stressed that in the present extraordinary times we are all in, coaching can be extremely powerful in shaping the future of work.

Reynolds also said that coaching does not give advice. She emphasised:

“It’s a totally advice-free zone. The goal is to ask thought-provoking questions that help the client to tap into their own inner resources and the answers within themselves.”

As employees navigate the challenges brought by the pandemic, a coaching intervention would make a great impact in helping them achieve professional as well as personal goals.

Investing in Coaching

SAP has invested in its coaching program 15 years ago. Today, over 100,000 employees worldwide are benefiting from the program, which is a part of a broader strategy to prepare people for the future of work, increase employee engagement, and foster cross-organisational agility.

Reynolds explained that the program involves coaches that have specific areas of expertise, internally known as their “superpowers”. Coaches’ superpowers could be in the field of conflict resolution, career development, or work-life balance.

“Coaches also help employees have more self-awareness, embrace diversity, and work better in virtual teams,” she added.

Though relatively a young field, coaching has been getting more traction now, especially in the tech industry. In Asia, SAP partner Delaware Singapore has created an enhanced go-to-market strategy focused on strengthening of delivery excellence through internal coaching and training. This initiative came right after the company recruited approximately 20 new consultants, cited as “young Singaporean talent”.

Reaping the Rewards

The German company’s investment in the coaching program has been proven to be effective based on the internal audits conducted by SAP. The audits reported that employees with coaches are twice as likely to write up their business goals and 32{aa282f308afcc222aaa21b0478c79e01a8fedd01972e2180867097bd93930f22} more likely to achieve them. In the recent SAP Coachee Survey 2019, 97{aa282f308afcc222aaa21b0478c79e01a8fedd01972e2180867097bd93930f22} of coached employees said that the can directly apply what they learned in coaching sessions to their world today.

“It’s really key to have both operational as well as experiential data to support a solid coaching program. Balance out productivity indexes with more intangible results, like how a client feels after a coaching session and if they have more positive emotions, thinking, and attitude,” commented Reynolds.

Reynolds highlighted that coaching intervention is one way to achieve SAP’s vision of helping the world run better and improve people’s lives. According to her, improving employees’ lives creates a ripple effect on SAP’s customers, partners, and, ultimately, the world.

After announcing the enhanced go-to-market strategy of going beyond core enterprise resource planning (ERP) and SAP S/4HANA Cloud implementations in April, SAP partner Delaware Singapore is now ready to deliver SAP security services across Southeast Asia.

Delaware Singapore has recently formed a partnership with Netherlands-based SAP Platform Security solution Protect4S to bring its products to Southeast Asian companies. Christophe Derdeyn, Director at Delaware Singapore and Onno Coenen, Global Commercial Lead at Protect4S signed the agreement.

The Protect4S SAP Platform Security solution enables SAP security automation and continuous improvement by a repeated process of scanning, analysis, and mitigation executed on all relevant layers of the operating system, database, and application. Protect4S’ periodic scans use more than 1500 checks.

Explaining the purpose of the partnership, Derdeyn said:

“Delaware provides SAP implementations and SAP managed services worldwide, and we see that the pressure on SAP security is increasing sharply.”

“Protect4S has convinced us with their enormous number of security checks, ease of use, and a high degree of automation,” he added.

Building Partnership

Delaware Singapore’s collaboration with Protect4S aims to enhance SAP protection levels of companies in SEA. The partnership also makes the consulting company as the first reselling and SAP Managed Services partner in Singapore.

“With Delaware Singapore, we not only get a strong reselling and managed services partner for the Southeast Asia region but also worldwide via the other Delaware countries,” Coenen stated.

“This is another big step to accelerate our global growth,” the Protect4S executive stressed.

Reinforcing SAP Security

The Protect4S SAP Platform Security solution comes at the most opportune time now that cybersecurity threats and regulations are increasing, putting pressure on the SAP systems’ security. Aside from protecting business-critical SAP assets on a continuous basis, the solution also automates many processes and guides additional actions via clear dashboards, task lists, and reports.

Monthly, the SAP Product Security Response Team releases information on Patch Day Security Notes to fix vulnerabilities discovered in SAP products.

In May 2020, security firm Onapsis detected an extremely serious RECON vulnerability that affects all SAP applications running on SAP NetWeaver AS Java. Hackers can exploit the vulnerability, making all systems exposed to untrusted networks an attack target. This vulnerability affects over 40,000 SAP customers with increased exposure for an estimated 2,500 internet-facing systems.

Within only a few weeks, SAP was able to fix the flaw due to the seriousness of the RECON vulnerability that had involved the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The US-CERT Alert, AA20-195A, was issued in coordination with BSI CERT-Bun, followed by other global organisations providing warnings about potential threats associated with this vulnerability.

SAP has marked its Security Patch Day last 11th August releasing 15 security notes and an update to a previously released one (for the maximum severity RECON vulnerability – CVE-2020-6287 – in SAP NetWeaver AS JAVA).

Strengthening Presence in SEA

Delaware Singapore has been harnessing the region’s increased demand for digital transformation by partnering with technology solutions providers like Protect4S and Aprimo.

In July, Delaware has expanded alliance with Aprimo, a provider of technology solutions for content, operations, and performance. The partnership’s go-to-market approach offers expertise across marketing, digital, and customer experience in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
