Global winners of the inaugural SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone Innovation Challenge have been announced. The event recognises and celebrates partners that are harnessing the power of the SAP Work Zone for HR solution built on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) to solve business challenges, improve employee experiences, and change work for good.

In her opening keynote at the recently concluded SuccessConnect virtual event, Jill Popelka, President at SAP SuccessFactors, maintained that HR is critical to providing the best experience for every employee in order to develop a future-ready workforce capable of innovating faster in the cloud. She further added:

“We know these are challenging times. It comes down to how well you support your people through this culture change. It is about creating a sense of belonging, encouraging lifelong learning, and tapping into the right technology. And we are doing all of this with human experience management.”

Introduced in late 2020, SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone is part of the comprehensive HXM solutions that connect human experiences across SAP software landscapes and third-party applications. The employee engagement and productivity solution enables staff to access multiple tools, apps, and systems from a single, personalised digital workplace intending to make work more streamlined and manageable. Additionally, it is included in the SAP Work Zone module that provides templated materials specific to HR.

Just last month, the Human Resource Executive and the HR Technology Conference named SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone a Top HR Product. The renowned industry award highlights the most cutting-edge new solutions that are supporting business executives in meeting their organisations’ ever-changing HR needs. Furthermore, it takes into consideration the value added to the HR function, the ability to deliver as promised, intuitiveness for users, and overall product innovation.

Moreover, the SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone Innovation Challenge was launched in July with the goal of involving the SAP partner ecosystem in developing creative and innovative solutions to solve important workplace issues. Leveraging SAP Work Zone for HR built on SAP BTP, partners excelled in creating a range of solutions that addressed current challenges in employee engagement, learning and development, the manager experience, and COVID-19 compliance.

Five regional winners and a global winner were chosen from 16 unique use cases submitted by partners across the world.

People Management Digital Coach by AKT Global was named the Global Winner of the challenge. SAP SuccessFactors and other data sources activate the solution, which generates just simple, specific, and action-oriented suggestions, nudges, and lessons to managers in Work Zone, empowering them to act and engage their staff.

Yoav Ventura, Co-Founder and People Cloud Solutions Managing Partner at AKT Global, said:

“With the flexibility and adaptability of SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone and the SAP Business Technology Platform, we were able to create a forward-thinking solution triggered to generate just-in-time, specific, action-oriented tips and learnings for managers.”

Meanwhile, Blueprint Technologies’ B.E.A.P. (Blueprint’s Enterprise Alumni Portal) was selected as the winner in the APJ region. Powered by SAP Work Zone for HR, the solution enables companies to realise the full potential of their former employees by increasing alumni experience and engagement.

Maintenance Supervisor Reimagined by Deloitte bagged the regional winner award for North America. The solution streamlines multiple applications and stakeholders across the roles of Floor Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, and Maintenance Team into a unified, mobile-accessible, and end-to-end platform.

In EMEA North, Scheduling Team Resources and Change of Home Address by Flexso was also chosen as the regional winner. Finally, NOVO Business Consultants’ The New Everyday Life with COVID-19 was selected as the MEE regional winner. It allows new consultants to quickly access the most up-to-date COVID-19 regulations and recommendations based on their location.
