With this, Pythian is in a steady position to help its customers gain value from their ERP data by acquiring ManageServe and maximising its expertise in providing quality services for ERP application and SAP technical support.
In an interview, Pythian CEO Keith Angell has expounded on the acquisition that is geared towards bolstering the company’s existing ERP practices and its capabilities to provide SAP HANA solutions on Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and SAP cloud platforms.
Highlighting ManageServe’s vast experience in managed services, migration hosting, and SAP analytics team, Angell said:
“The SAP Business Warehouse and HANA database are critical to companies that run SAP. And mining the data in the data warehouses and HANA database and other back-end databases attached to SAP is a great capability of Pythian helping enterprises get value from their data.”
Additionally, ManageServe’s analytics capabilities around SAP systems align with Pythian’s data-first strategy in driving digital transformation, according to Angell. In the statement released, he further said:
“ManageServe’s reputation for SAP excellence, outstanding customer service, and deep technical know-how fits well with Pythian’s full lifecycle approach as we enable our customers to scale, optimise, and gain value from their most mission-critical business applications.”

ManageServe’s Enhanced Migration Optimisation solution provides a successful and complete project plan in delivering a proven, structured method for migrating clients’ landscape and handling change management.
As more and more businesses express their interest in integrating their SAP data with cloud-based analytics stacks, the acquisition reinforces Pythian’s current focus on data and the cloud. Commenting on the new partnership with Pythian, ManageServe CEO Sabir Kapasi stated:
“Together we are extremely well-positioned to help clients optimise enterprise-scale SAP workloads on-premise or in the cloud so they can maximise the business value of their data.”
Moreover, Pythian will scale up its current business operations by complementing ManageServe’s Bangalore office with its location in Hyderabad, India. Pythian will also be hiring more SAP developers and consultants in addition to ManageServe’s staff that will bring Pythian’s headcount to roughly 370.
“Our ability to expand within ManageServe’s customer base — and theirs within ours — is also critically important,” Angell said.
