ERP change analytics and testing provider Panaya has completed its 50th SAP HANA migration project, in what it says is record time.
For Compendia Siderurgica Nacional (CSN), one of the largest integrated steel companies in Latin America, Panaya completed the migration to HANA in just under nine months.
CSN had originally planned on completing an upgrade to Enhancement Pack 7 (EHP 7), but following an assessment, decided that it would benefit more from a direct implementation of HANA, enabling the company to access greater business innovation.
The company used the Panaya CloudQuality Suite (PCQ) to estimate the time, effort and risk involved in the migration, to create a more detail business case to justify the investment in HANA. It was then able to migrate to SAP HANA with an ECC6 upgrade to EHP 7, which enabled the HANA platform. Other systems such as HCM, BW, Portal and the ERP with Unicode were all upgraded simultaneously with the same go-live date.
“Panaya CloudQuality Suite offered clear visibility from the initial assessment of the HANA upgrade, through the go live process,” says Sebastiao Casagrande, IT coordinator at CSN. “Panaya’s precise scope and testing accelerators ensured that we went live with no surprises.”
“CSN wanted innovation with the upgrade to SAP HANA, and using Panaya they were able to take the more direct and aggressive route, meeting their goals without a hitch,” said Doron Gerstel, Panaya CEO.
Gaby Koren, EVP sales Americas, Panaya, said that having now completed 50 HANA migrations, Panaya’s customers have the benefits of insights gained through proven implementations in order to better plan, optimise and benchmark their ERP changes.
