Cloud security and governance leader CipherCloud has made available advanced data protection capabilities for SAP SuccessFactors solutions, build on its Cloud Access Security Broker platform.
The new capabilities help deliver advanced encryption and customer-controlled key management, to help organisations to gain full control of sensitive data and meet their global data privacy requirements as they move to SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite in the cloud. Unauthorised access is prevented because the encryption keys aren’t shared with outsiders.
The solution is designed to support compliance with increasingly strict global data privacy laws including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), the US Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard and the upcoming European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
CipherCloud collaborated with SAP to integrate data protection with the HCM Suite, by defining specific personally identifiable information (PII) to be protected.
