A longstanding Indian education trust, Sri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM), has chosen SAP Education and SAP SuccessFactors to transform the way it engages with students, faculty and staff, supplementing its curriculum with certified SAP training courses and managing its growing workforce.

Established in 1934, SVKM operates approximately 30 educational facilities in India, including NMIMS Deemed-to-be University, Mithibai College, NM College of Commerce, and D.J. Sanghvi College of Engineering.

To enhance the employability of their graduates, SVKM worked with SAP Education partner Seed Infotech to supplement its syllabus with industry-leading training courses on enterprise software and processes. In addition, SVKM worked with Yash Technologies to implement SAP SuccessFactors to revamp and automate its HR operations to increase the productivity and performance of its faculty and staff.

“It was imperative for us to keep up with the pace of change that the industries are witnessing globally and we chose SAP solutions to lead the adoption of this change across all our institutes,” said Amrish Patel, president and trustee, SVKM and chancellor, NMIMS. “This will improve our students’ ability to explore cross-market opportunities as well as help us realise a wholesome approach to holistic engagement with our faculty and staff,” he said.

“It is vital for [SVKM] to create an environment conducive to empowering students with the latest industry skills as well as boosting their faculty and staff performance. With SAP, they will have the capability to bring alive both the goals and become industry pioneers by leading the requisite transformation,” said Avinash Kumar Purwar, vice president, global partner operations and head of emerging business, SAP India.
