Samsung SDS, a global IT service company based in Korea, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with SAP to provide enterprise cloud system-based SAP solutions to corporate customers in Korea and the broader Asia-Pacific.

According to a statement by the two companies, clients will be able to receive reliable support on cloud-based services for their core business systems, for a small investment.

Samsung SDS has previously worked with SAP on enterprise ERP systems both within and without the Samsung Group, and under the terms of this partnership, both companies plan to expand the scope of their collaboration by providing IT services optimised for cloud-based enterprises.

“We are proud to announce our partnership with Samsung SDS in enterprise cloud, one of SAP’s core services,” said Bernd Leukert, member of the Executive Board, Products and Innovations, SAP. “Through diverse solutions designed for various lines of business, we will further support our customers and partners in establishing solid foundations for the cloud environment.”

“This will be the opportunity to expand the enterprise cloud business market of the cooperation with SAP in Korea and [the] Asia-Pacific,” said Chung Yoo-sung, president and CEO, Samsung SDS.
