“This simplified architecture eliminates data replication and reduces hardware and administration costs while allowing customers to perform real-time analysis and planning across entire ERP landscapes. Finance departments no longer require separate systems for transactions and analytics,” she said.

The new version of SAP BPC provides both improved scalability and performance through SAP BW/4HANA. It enables more detailed planning with no restrictions on granularity or calculations as well as faster planning and close cycles, with calculations pushed down to SAP HANA.

The new release provides simplified financial models in SAP BW/4HANA, with a single product for both planning and consolidation and a streamlined data-loading process that enables loads from across the enterprise and beyond. It also enables customers to extend planning beyond finance to other line-of-business planning scenarios.

Version 11 enables customers to incorporate data from cloud applications and other third-party data sources. Integration with the SAP Analytics Cloud solution enables extended reporting and analysis as well as hybrid planning scenarios, allowing for bidirectional movement of data and dimensions to broad business planning scenarios both on premise and in the cloud.

The SAP Integration and Certification Centre (SAP ICC) has certified that Vertex Enterprise Connector 6.0 is powered by SAP NetWeaver.

The Vertex Enterprise solution provides SAP users with an automated integrated provision solution using Vertex Tax Accounting, which reduces manual data manipulation through automated and repeatable processes to minimise human errors throughout the provision process.

With the integration to SAP BPC, the solution enables SAP users to automate data acquisition, systematically convert financial data into tax data and maintain a fully auditable history of the tax sensitised trial balance content. The solution provides a two-way connection, enabling the tax department to export tax journal entries back into the SAP software.

The connector works with SAP BPC to move trial balance data from the source ERP system into Vertex Enterprise, where it is tax-sensitised by the Vertex Tax Performance Engine and stored for use in the end-to-end tax lifecycle. Vertex Tax Accounting uses that tax-sensitised data to manage provision reporting in an automated, integrated way for current tax expense and an organisation’s current tax position, deferred tax expense, prior year adjustments and true-ups, journal entries and account reconciliation, and footnotes and audit reporting.
