Enterprise cloud application services leader Velocity Technology Solutions will expand its cloud offering to Japan, via a partnership with Mitsui Knowledge Industry Co (MKI).

The alliance will see the two companies offer a standardised portfolio of cloud migration and SAP cloud products for enterprises, systems integrators and value-added resellers, enabled by Velocity’s Cloud Application Management Platform (VCAMP).

Under the auspices of the alliance, MKI will be responsible for sales and marketing development, advanced customer service and integration management.

“MKI’s focus is to optimise customers’ SAP systems, alleviate the complexity, and reduce the TCO for Japanese businesses migrating to the cloud,” said Shinji Kawashima, executive officer, MKI.

“Our partnership with Velocity means our customers and partners achieve immediate benefits from cloud migration and management solutions without the large upfront costs and skills enhancements typically required with these transformations.”

VCAMP provides application lifecycle management, service optimisation and analytics through unified multi-cloud application management console. According to Velocity, for complex applications such as SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA, the platform offers the opportunity to simplify an organisation’s cloud transformation, shortens time to innovation and accelerating cost savings through rapid provisioning, automated migration and intelligent application lifecycle management services for SAP applications, both in public and private cloud landscapes.

“Our VCAMP for SAP software defined applications management product portfolio delivers rapid-deployment services, advanced applications lifecycle management, and application analytics. VCAMP for SAP enables our customers to expand use cases and attain immediate business benefits without the high cost, complexity, or commitment required with traditional approaches,” said Ravi Padmanabhan, vice president for the SAP line of business at Velocity.

“As one of Japan’s leading providers of enterprise cloud services, MKI’s strength in cloud transformation projects and customer support will deepen the value we jointly deliver with VCAMP for SAP.”

Cloud-based software quality and application change delivery solutions provider Panaya has introduced Release Dynamix (RDx), an application lifecycle management (ALM) solution that enables IT organisations to expedite and validate change delivery phases to meet the needs of agile enterprises.

RDx works to eliminate the complexity and bottlenecks inherent to application change, enabling innovation and continuous delivery for enterprise application development with reduced risk. It provides real-time visibility of each delivery phase and full integration with leading third-party solutions such as SAP.

“IT departments need to take the lead with digital transformation by becoming agile and adjusting to rapidly changing business and market conditions,” said Jake Klein, CEO, Panaya, which is an Infosys company.

According to Panaya, RDx provides the means to do just that by providing project and portfolio management, requirements and release management, and testing and defect management on a single collaborative platform.

Key benefits of RDx include traceability of tests and defects, agility enabling continuous delivery, internal and regulated requirements approval workflow, collaboration with business process stakeholders regardless of location, and full integration with Incidents, Requirements and Change Management solutions, Test Automation via the Panaya Connect API.

“Release Dynamix holds the promise of changing the way we manage our processes and projects,” said Sebastian Hebert, EMEA technical director, Shiseido, a long-time customer of Panaya.

“The solution provides a best of breed ALM application that takes into account all aspects of application change delivery, including ERP change conflicts within a release,” he said.

RDx is right on track with recent predictions from Forrester Research about the need for speed in software delivery. “Rising customer expectations, competitive threats, and increased consumer choice make rapid delivery and iteration of software applications a competitive differentiator. Optimising the delivery value chain – well beyond traditional ALM – is a crucial contributor to better business outcomes,” said Diego Lo Giudice, vice president, principal analyst, Forrester Research in the report ‘TechRadar: Continuous Software Delivery, Q3 2016.’
