Winning SAP Concur Business Solutions Implementation
Accelerating Finance Processing
Consulting company NTT DATA Philippines won the Partner Innovation Award for the successful rollout of SAP Concur solutions to over 2000 users of one of the biggest bottling companies in Asia, amidst time constraints. In three months, the NTT Data team was able to streamline and standardise the customer’s workflow design resulting in a significant reduction in expense reimbursement turnaround time to 2 days from 5 days. In effect, automating the finance process through Concur Expense has saved the company around 1 FTE headcount cost.
NTT DATA Business Solutions AG, a part of the Tokyo-based NTT DATA Group, has also recently received the SAP Partner Excellence Award for SAP Concur Solutions in Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) for the company’s groundbreaking innovations leveraging SAP technologies.
Modernising Purchase to Pay
Melbourne-headquartered IDP Education integrated SAP Ariba and SAP Concur solutions including Concur Invoice Capture to automate and standardise purchase-to-pay processes across its global operations. Leveraging the SAP solutions, the multinational education agency was able to drive efficiency and accuracy in AP processing by digitising 70{aa282f308afcc222aaa21b0478c79e01a8fedd01972e2180867097bd93930f22} of invoices via email. Aside from having better visibility of invoice and expense trends, IDP Education was able to significantly reduce invoice processing from two to three weeks to three to four days.
Enhancing Employee and Customer Experience
Shipping company Ocean Network Express (ONE) jointly owned by Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK), Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL), and K Line collaborated with Concur Select Care, SAP Concur’s customer support service team, to help the company standardise T&E policies and processes across its operations in 106 countries to drive excellent experiences for employees and travellers. ONE is also exploring to rollout eBunsho to comply with the latest Japanese transport regulations. The update on eBunsho regulations was an example of SAP Concur’s innovation partnership with the Japanese government, which allowed Japanese enterprises to save electronic receipts and need not save paper copies.
Improving Risk Assessment
German semiconductor manufacturer Infineon integrated a risk assessment check into its existing SAP Concur workflow, which was earlier implemented as part of the company’s modernisation strategy, to keep pace with the changing travel compliance regulations. Leveraging SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) as an extension suite and a custom-designed risk assessment engine, both the travel requestor and approver receive real-time risk assessment results in Concur Request. This feature enables them to address critical concerns before travelling.
Updating Travel Rules During the Pandemic
The Walt Disney Company worked with SAP Concur Select Care to evaluate its existing T&E processes, also supported by SAP Concur solutions, in consideration of the pandemic. The collaboration enabled Walt Disney to reduce Travel Rule classes, create a new Hotel Rate cap process and deliver a seamless approval process.
Streamlining Global T&E
Dover Corporation, a global manufacturer of industrial products, has successfully unified its seven different instances of SAP Concur across 26 countries, impacting 135 Business Units and over 12,000 global employees. Under one SAP Concur instance, the company was able to have better visibility of employees’ T&E transactions, reduce travel bookings, improve miscellaneous expenses, and reach 95{aa282f308afcc222aaa21b0478c79e01a8fedd01972e2180867097bd93930f22} card adoption for travel expenses. Furthermore, consolidating the different Concur instances allowed Dover’s T&E team to focus on auditing expense reports and enforce the T&E policy leveraging Concur Detect.
